God Bless Gen Muhammadu Buhari

A man who never pandered to the dictates of the Oil cabal to inflict untold hardship on the masses by refusing to jerk up the pump price of petrol and allied product unlike a very wicked and despicable leader who effected a devilish and sinister 200% fuel price hike on the 1st of January 2012 when he told us he was still consulting and will give people a head start as to when the hike will kickstart only to drive a sword into our side especially those who had travelled home for the yuletide

Yet the charlatan said he had no shoes and can feel our pain!

Please note that all the major leap in fuel price happened under the PDP led government, with no major thing to show for it. The chief originator of the subsidy scam is also a member of PDP. Foolish people will vote foolishly. Wise people will vote wisely. CHANGE is a must!!

Interesting read, going by the trend then, it could be said that Obj as a military man and IBB laid the foundation and set in motion the astronomical rise in Petroleum prices. I never knew Sonekan despite his few months in power tampered with Fuel prices like that.

Yes that is why they are both in PDP. Even though baba is so desperate to redeem himself, he still belongs to the killer party..

Stop waffling, this is not about party but decisions taken when they were in the military....for your info, there is nothing PDP is doing wrong now that APC will do right if it grabs power at the centre!

angry angry Was Obj a military man when he skyrocketed fuel price from N26 to N70
Was Jonathan a military man when there suddenly became a subsidy jump, and fuel price flew to N147 before diving back to N97.
The point is the people that are suffering the masses and have suffered the masses are all in PDP. You copy?

Re: History Of Fuel Price Increases In Nigeria by Nobody: 12:58am On Nov 20, 2014
Abacha that most people are calling a looter came to power with fuel prices at N5 per litre and when he left office 5years (after being killed by poisoning) fuel had only increased by N6. Yet he never called it subsidy removal. He accounted for the proceeds of the N6 fuel price increase by using the proceeds to set up the PTF (which he appointed Gen Buhari to run) for improving and maintianing our infrastructure.

Since Abacha there has been no verifiable accounting of how the proceeds from fuel price hikes had been utilised.

That is why the first action of Thief Obasanjo on coming to office was to close the PTF and sack General Buhari, so he could raise oil prices by 350% by renaming the price hikes "subsidy removal" and show no verifiable account of how he utilised the proceeds. Clueless gullible Nigeria never questioned how you could call it subsidy removal when there has never been a time in our history when subsidy has been applied. How can you remove something that does not exist. It is just a deceitful way of applying a fuel tax without any accountability

Don't forget Shonekan was IBB's puppet until Abacha took power.

Why is this thread not on front page. A lot of important points that needs to be discussed adequately by a vast majority of nairalanders (Nigerians) are raised here. The mods should do the needful and move this topic to the front page.

So the suffering and smiling going on in Lagos till now was caused by Jonathan or the gross corruption being perpetrated by Tinubu cum Fashola since 1999 in Lagos was as a result of Jonathan too or PDP? You need to rest...
