Tank u 4 those lines. I've said it that if you listen well to dat track 22 u'll discover the diss lines are very elementry. That aspect of Rugged claiming to be rich but still skinny is a very lame thing to say. How could mode who claims to be very profound use those lines? Yet his so called fans who are doing more damage than good to Mode him keep prancing around NL with that line. That line alone totally made a mess of the rest of the other lame lines. So Mode rather than concentrate on his career is busy going about town looking 4 gossips on Rugged. Too bad. If he had artists looking for him to do colabo and event promoter looking for him for shows like Rugged, he wont have time to go round looking 4 gossips. That shows how jobless he is. Why yab rugged with head warmer when he goes about town under the sun with heavy jacket, big jean pants and timberland boots. Sorry i dnt agree with that track. There are better tracks on the album.

those lines are just too funny grin. If the Beef track is not that okay, then tell you dude to reply!

blinx:

he goes about town under the sun with heavy jacket, big jean pants and timberland boots.

He only used that for the Flyers dude!

Mode is international, Rughead is local.

May God bless you for highlighting this statement. . . . . .What has been skinny gotta do with wealth??
Pharrell Williams is skinny but he will put the whole generation of MODE9(Dead or Living) in the rich echelon for LIFE.
Bloody Hell. . . . .Pharrell Williams would put MODE9 in a cage and feed him for the rest of his life like a pet dog.
That is the lamest punchline i have ever heard. . . .

Modenine is LAME. . . . . .There's no other explanation.
I have never heard such ebonics on a rap diss until i listened to Modenine's garbage-ass lines.
Heavy Jacket, Timberland boots and Denim pants?? What has that gotta do with battle lyrics??
Somebody should please tell MODENINE to try other stuffs to make money. . . .Hunting with his grandfather's dane gun is more lucrative.

@jay blvd

Nice one there.I also find every part you mentioned funny and ridiculous.Rich and skinny doesn't always go like bonnie and kay grin

So much for been a lyricist.I know Mode could do better, but he getting personal made the whole track what it is:WATERY.

The best diss i think he made were not even on track 22,he made mention of Rugged's name in mathematical sege(he called him Micheal actually) and also the jabs in Spartan were better. Also said Olu maintain is richer than Rugged,y not he's richer than Rugged,it's kinda ludicrous.

@Sauron

Mode wasn't the one that said this:Heavy Jacket, Timberland boots and Denim pants??Only yabbed Rugged for donning head warmer in the blazing sun.
You need to listen to the track though to acknowledge his folly.

Can u imagine?? Who gives a rat's ass about what Rugged dons on his head.
It's like playground diss. . . . .If u wanna battle, go for the kill. . . .
Jeeez, maybe i am too used to Canibus, Eminem and Nas spewing spine shattering disses with poetical brilliance.
I am not even professional but gosh, i would kill modenine.

Mode 9 is good no doubt but that diss track is bland and laced with too much irrelevantly personalised diss.
He's done better in the past with indirect jabs at Rugged until this over-kill,yet his fans will be so fast to tell you it's the best diss track in the world.Whatever happen to "90% of your fans walk on high heel" and 90% of your fans doenst exist" kinda diss.

But really i still do not agree with some of your points on Mode, dude his lyrically endowed, and you sayin he cant rap without pidgin is a misnomer. He doesnt even rap in pidgin till now!

Cheese n Rice, i want to listen to his albums and compare em to THY ALBUM COMETH. . . . .
Can any of his albums pass that test?? L'emme look him up on itunes and i wld get back to u.

you've not even listen to more of mode but you judging by one or 2 tracks you've heard from you. He's bigger than rugged lyricaly.

THat's not normal.

I just heard "Elbow Room" and "Formidable" too. . . . . .
This guy is monotonous. . . . . .A bit huffing and puffing but can't feel his multies.
No swagga, just rapping with the same flow throughout the track. . . . .No burst of fast flowing lyrics.

Cheese n Rice. . . . . . What do u call those weak lyrics on "Nigerian girls"??
No wonder Flowshow thinks he is the shiznit.
He is lyrically better than Modenine even with his fan yogo and ludo lyrics.
Buncha wankers. grin

@ Kay_Pumpin,

So none of u guys have heard ALABAI's "voice of God"??
Now that is who i call a clever lyricist. . . . . .
Re: Review Of Modenine's Album: Emphasis On Track 22:death Blow by khanye(m): 3:50pm On Dec 18, 2008
"Elbow Room" and "Formidable" are old tracks from Mode, Have u been able to feel the One Amongst many ALbum and the classic (The Paradigm Shift). You need to listen to the two artist first before you can start comparing them. I've listen to the 2 albums from Rugged but the album is full of beef shit!

ALABAI a Lyricist lipsrsealed?

Does he have a Album?
Re: Review Of Modenine's Album: Emphasis On Track 22:death Blow by blinx(m): 3:58pm On Dec 18, 2008
I heard Alabai voice on Paul play's album. Pls who is that guy and do have his tracks? I need them. I wonder y guys like dat dont release albums.

@sauron
What u said about mode being monotonous is true. Inshort that was y i didn't listen to much of his tracks cos by the time u listen to 3 u discover they all sound alike, only beat and content changed, the style remains the same through out the whole tracks, it was boring,  but he kind of improved on this new album. But when it comes to switching styles, he's still far from the likes of Rugged and Gino. Those two guys can switch styles many times on one track and each track sounds different. That gives pleasure and thats why i root for them.

Go and listen to them again. . . . ."I am Ruggedman", "From Dublin with Love"
Those are classics that would give Jigga n Nas a run for their money.

I don't care if he has an album. . . . . . .Go and listen to VOICE OF GOD from ALABAI.
That is inarguably the best rap track from the African continent this year.
This dude was talking to GOD and the conversation rhymed like crazy. . . . . .If only MODENINE was this intelligent.

The guy is poetic. . . . . Classic video. . . .
His graphics were superb and the final part where he was surrounded by ghosts in white garments was morbid.
Everything about him is MINT. Top dude.

I hope Khanye, Javatwat and Kay_Pumping are reading this. . . . .
Modenine is too monotonous. I want to see a rapper switch styles, switch the paceMix it up and let the audience feel the power.
Nigga was just rapping like Sani Abacha reading Naija's yearly budget.
Very insipid.
Re: Review Of Modenine's Album: Emphasis On Track 22:death Blow by kaypumpin2(m): 4:15pm On Dec 18, 2008
I am yet to hear that particular track from Alabai but i know Alabai is a witty rapper.Clever lines with top draw delivery. He's no new artiste though.
I understand where you coming from as per Mode and i still advise you get more of his songs,he's GOOD.He's improved drstically from the days of formidable and elbow room.
I like him and i like Rugged too, infact i will put Rugged above him(though not lyrically),but as per knowing and acknowledging his immediate enviroment's yearning. The beef between the 2 emcees is needless and uncalled for. Both have sweetening effects in their own ways i.e more like sugar and salt serving different sweetening effects in diff ways.

B.T.W
Try lookin for M.I's song. can get u a link to get some tracks of his. He's the shiznit.

I am NO mode 9 phony son.I only like some of his tracks and i still feel beyong the lyrical prowess he's laying claims to,he need to do better in the area of generally acceptability and style variation. To a reasonable extent,he did that in this new album but then,he's till a shade below the likes of Gino,Ruggedman,M.I and even Ill bliss with catchy hook and nous!
Re: Review Of Modenine's Album: Emphasis On Track 22:death Blow by khanye(m): 4:24pm On Dec 18, 2008
why rating a dude with one or 2 tracks so High .

I've got only two good Emcees in 9ja for now, Mode and M.I. Rugged is too wack for me dude.

The only track i feel from THY ALBUM COMETH is Where U at.

Rugged is a guy like you, he's full of beef and trouble!!!
