Mr Olarenwaju Tajudeen would home to his loved ones now - wife and children enjoying their warmth whilst thousands of freighters, agents, importers and their customers are all out there with pain in their heart. Some not been feeding well for weeks now because their only source of livelihood is been blocked. It is frustrations such as this that breed the likes of BH in our society and we blame it all on religious fanaticism I weep for this country. Four weeks now and approaching the peak holiday shopping season, many traders, families all have their goods stuck out there by a man whose imports would not even smell the airport tarmac before it is delivered to his house without him breaking sweat. I weep for this country still a long way to go. 2 Likes |

Hello Guys, I really dont know how it happened but one of my package just arrived about 10mins ago. It was shipped via Fedex. I was completely shocked when my receptionist told me I had a package from Fedex. I rushed downstairs to verify and I was shocked and elated to see my package! I asked the Fedex guy how they did it knowing that the sheds are still shut. He just said they had to go throw 'thick walls' to get it out... Just to be clear, it doesnt fall in any category of the allowed items (perishables, medicines etc). the package is an electric guitar. I pray you all expecting your packages would get them sooner than you expect because I really wasnt expecting to see mine. I am still without you all in the struggle and wait...God bless us all! |

Is this handle for real? How come an institution as big as our customs is not verified.

bdorg: As expected, favouritism has come into play. For those who assume that Olanrewaju and Customs might have clear and genuine intentions, what does this tell you? |

MAITEMA: bro, it was agreed that couriered goods will be allowed to be cleared. It is no favoritism. |

Everything is the problem with importers for now. This is our hard time. I just don't want to think about it because mine is just little. Imagine what could be going on with people with deadline to meet? Naira keeps falling, now 184. God will revive our loss sha. |

I just want to take this time-out to say THANK YOU to NAIRALAND + NAIRALANDERS... Nairaland is undoubtedly the best online source of REAL TIME INFORMATION on ANY/EVERY Nigerian issue(s)! I just like the way information keep flowing (Whether true or untrue)... bottom line is: YOU ARE NEVER WITHOUT INFORMATION ON NL! Thanks guys...and lets hope for speedy restoration of operations at the Airport. If not for these updates, I cant imagine how 'in the dark' i would have been regarding this terrible situation at the airport... AIT, Channels, NTA etc dont even report much about ongoings. Thanks NL 1 Like |

bigtt76: I would just close my eyes and go to bed. Wake me up when they open it up in January. This does not affect their salaries. So I guess they don't give a shit. This country is an ass hole and bleeped up ghetto. Its about time I move out truly. |
