I've heard many times from people that our normal orthodox drugs (Paracetamol, Chloroquine, etc) are better and more active than nutritional supplements. But I don't seem to quite agree cos there are people I've heard from who claim nutritional supplements are better than orthodox drugs due to the fact that it doesn't have any side effect.
I'll want to go with that cos using myself as an example, I've been treating chest ache (quick sharp pain in my chest) for quite a while now and I've used a few painkillers and pain relievers to no effect before I stumbled on one WellnesshubNG on NairaLand and sent a mail and they explained that I should cut down on fatty foods for now, switch off the AC before I sleep and they recommended nutritional supplement which I used and I've not felt the pain since then. Like it just vanished.
Well, I told a friend who complained about the same pain and he said Orthodox drugs to him, is better than Nutritional Supplements.

Pls what's the house's stand on this?

Please don't use this thread to advertise your pharmacy or your foreverliving, gnld or trevor supplements. We know that already. I just need honest and mature opinions.

It's not a question of which is better. Each has it's advantage over the other. In some terminal cases that require prompt medical attention, orthodox drugs are sometimes required to save the life of the patient.Supplements are usually slower in performance and may not be apt for this kind of situation. But the advantage of the nutritional supplements is that they are preventive as well dealing with the problem from the root cause and have little or no side effects.

There are both okay and good... but u see in nigeria here, nothing is being scrutinised before its brought to the market.. pple have limited knowledge on dos nutritional aids and natural remedy. dats d problem. Some cud work very well on u while other cud complicate d problem. Which ever one u chose to use dont combine orthodox and conventional medicines cos there cud be serious interaction
