The Association For Better Nigeria(ABN) Led by Arthur Nzeribe:

The Association for Better Nigeria (ABN) was formed after the Ibrahim Babangida regime abolished all political parties and created the two national parties, the National Republican Convention (NRC) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 1991.

The primary objective of the ABN was to keep Ibrahim Babangida in power and maintain the military administration that has governed Nigeria for so long.
The ABN demonstrated its determination to achieve its objective by putting up billboards in the Nigerian capital Abuja that carried the message "Four More Years," which means the military government should stay in power for another four years. The intensity of the ABN's pro-government campaigns led many observers to conclude that the federal military government was behind the activities of the association.

The leadership of the ABN was basically a "one-man show" headed by Chief Arthur Nzeribe. The other well-known member of the ABN Abimola Davies, a director of the association, later left the organization.

The ABN was not a popular group and was treated with contempt particularly by pro-democracy groups and most of the Nigerian press. As a result, many of those who associated with the ABN kept it virtually secret. It was difficult to determine the total leadership or membership of the ABN.

In its tenacity to endorse continuous military rule, the ABN went to court to prevent the holding of the June 1993 presidential election. The ABN's reason for demanding the injunction was that the leaders of the NRC and SDP were corrupt politicians. Campaign for Democracy (CD), a coalition of pro-democracy groups, challenged the ABN on the grounds that it was unconstitutional to canvass for the continuation of the military government in Nigeria. The ABN lost the case. After the elections, the ABN again went to court to prevent the release of the election results. The professor stated that the current political impasse in Nigeria began at this point, when the government annulled the results.

Youth Earnestly Ask For Abacha- Daniel Kanu

The late General Abacha planned to succeed himself in 1998 having seized power in November 18 1993 through the barrels of guns. He ruled Nigeria for 5 years and still planned to succeed himself. Then in 1997/1998 one Daniel Kanu was the man of the year, the self-acclaimed leader of the Youth who wined and dined with the autocratic General 'Sani Abacha'.

I don't know if Daniel Kanu was paid or if he acted our of dire passion to organise the one million man march campaign for Abacha. The Youth Earnestly Ask for Abacha (YEAA) Campaign.

Africa Research Bulletin referred to YEAA as the most "fanatical" group in its support of Abacha as a candidate for President (20 Mar. 1998, 13002). According to Daniel Kanu, YEAA's leader, "the destiny of this nation and the transition to democracy under the present dispensation can only achieve its viable potentials if handled by prudent, purposeful, and transparent leadership of General Abacha" (ibid.).

My Readers, please try to understand. Why would someone in his right sense campaign for Abacha, an autocratic ruler that abused all our human rights.

Daniel Kanu floated YEAA, Youths Earnestly Asking for Abacha and organized 2 million man march in Abuja to support Abacha’s project.

The Transformation Ambassadors Of Nigeria Led By Ifeanyi Ubah

The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) has become the lousiest cockerels ever. No doubt, it is a pro-Jonathan movement, christened after his image, his mind, motives and, of course, agenda.
TAN disguises itself as a group which is mobilising Nigerian youths to champion the cause of peace and one-Nigeria agenda. The TAN group and or groups hiding under them, sucking from the same breast are heavily sponsored by the presidency. They have the right thumb of His Excellency and, of course, the ruling PDP.

What TAN’s agents do is to hawk the name of President Jonathan around, his agenda and that of his party. TAN has little or nothing to do with the much-touted One Nigeria Agenda. The agents go around on social networks, establishing contacts with youths who they know are social media freaks, promising them scholarships, recharge cards, clothings, jobs, cars, connections, and frivolous trips to foreign countries. All that is needed of the beneficiary is to be a Nigerian citizen and a registered voter, possessing a valid voters’ card.
To join TAN, one has to start by liking their Facebook page and later register as one-star ambassador, one of its many ranks. When you create an online account, you will be asked to invite others to like the page and also register. The more people you deceive into joining the trend, the higher your rank and the more dividends you get.

The TAN coordinators and executives are a set of opportunists who nose around for support for Jonathan come 2015. They hire other youths who work under them, charged with the duty of mobilising votes for the president ahead of 2015. Every mobiliser or coordinator or whatever they are called has a mandate. When they come in contact with youths, they dangle some carrots at their face and cajole them to join the team for selfish benefits.

Like the ancient serfs who serve their pot-bellied masters, TAN and their secret agents are sent into the Nigerian wilderness to scout for votes for the ruling PDP. From the web page to the bill boards, TAN has made its campaign appear like the handiwork of desperados. TAN displays strong support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term bid, hiding under the cloak of youth development, promotion of peace and all what not.

But Buhari worked for that AUTHOCRATIC ruler and went extra mile to tell us that ABACHA is not corrupt. What is the difference between Buhari and Daniel Kanu?

In essence BUHARI and DANIEL KANU worked for ABACHA. Why condemn one and praise the other?

The thread is only seeking answers and not to engage touts in an argument! So shift, if you can't answer!

The thread is meant to highlight Ibos as being behind tyranny.

Meanwhile your Gen. Monkey Blood served dutifully under his junior and still went on to state that Abacha's govt was not corrupt
