A post graduate diploma is the best way to start. Also, your friend should develop herself through other professional courses that are relevant to her discipline. Finally, the role of work experience cannot be over-emphasised. Now, how will a third class graduate gain the employment needed to boost her work experience? Simple, she should start as a volunteer or graduate intern for organisations that will offer her the enabling environment to gain valuable experience. This may come with little or no pay, but its the price she has to pay for a year or more. At the end, additional postgraduate qualifications/professional courses + valuable work experience = endless possibilities. Wish her the best!
