I took part in the recently concluded "Konga Yakata" sales program. Where I got to order an L.G 42 inch HD Tv LA6130. It was to be delivered to me that same day but I wasn't available to receive it and that got me saying a (WOOW.. That was Fast!). Of course I had to shift the delivery to the following day of which I paid in FULL.

With all excitement, I unboxed my yakata T.V and set it up. But dear Nairalanders after a successful setup I tried to turn on my TV but it didn't come on. It showed a red light indicating it had power from the source but the screen remain blanked after trying to put it on from the power button on the TV itself, the TV remote and even tried to take it off standby mode but all proved abortive. My blank Tv remained blank.

Then and there I tried to contact the "BEST" customer service representative ( KONGA). I sensed this coming so I gathered the names of all the people I spoke with but I'll be kind not to mention any. The first I spoke with told me I'll be contacted within (24 - 48hrs). Was like.. seriously .But Patient me had to wait for that long.. Finally someone called and referred me to the closest LG service center (Somewhere Around Agege Motor Road, Mushin) so something could be done about it. The following day I took a cab to the LG service center at Mushin and these guys bluntly told me they can't do anything about it that I have to take it to (Wharehouse road, Apapa branch).. At that point I was pissed because I knew my cab guy would definitely charge me more. But still, patient me embarked on that journey.

NOW THE ANNOYING PART

I got to LG service center at Apapa where I met one "Maula". I explained to him all that happened and all he did was look at me and kept mute. As he didn't respond I walked up to the the Customer Service Reps to explain, still they redirected me back to the "Maula". Saying, only he could handle the issue. I went back to the "Aboki Maula" and can you believe what he said... "Shebi, you go meet woman abi?.. Make them answer you now because I no go fit answer you". He then pointed to another guy telling me to go and meet him, pissed me went up to the guy and can you imagine the guy pointed back to the "Oloribu**ku Maula" telling me he only can attend to me. Basically, It was a ping-pong game being played by the so called LG Representatives on me. Another painful part of this was while all these were happening the Customer Rep girls were laughing, making me look like a fool.

MY REQUEST: Konga ooo or LG please I want a replacement for my TV. (Order No: #R090545539 ....... )

MY ADVICE TO THEM: Please let both parties invest a little by sending their customer care reps for proper training especially LG.

MY ADVICE TO Nairalanders : When you purchase an item from KONGA especially electronics .. Kindly sacrifice 100 box (Naira) to offer the delivery man a Can-Drink, and as he sips it gently. Carefully test the item he brought and confirm it works well. If it does, let him go else, hold him down and he shouldn't take a step outta your house. I MADE THAT MISTAKE. "

From your post you're from Lagos. Why not locate the konga office and visit then direct.
My advice pls stay away from awoof called 'yakata'.... All this yakata na old products wee people never buy for years. Why dem no include latest phones like infinix zero, galaxy, etc?.. My 5 cent

If I was you, I will either go and pay for Army escorts to Konga Office in Lagos, or re-order another TV to pay on delivery and have a policeman around to make the change just incase their delivery guy dey make mouth....

This is Lagos, wise up!!!

Alibaba went it laughed and heaped scorn on them. When the first sliced bread was sold, most American house wives, went on riot. jumia, konga etc stated, many are scoffing them.
Every online shops has a return policy. This return policy is void, when it is tampered unnecessarily.
First step. Upon testing, you ought to repackaged same, without delay
Second, take same in person to the shop and demand for replacement.
Even before acceptance, make sure the package wasn't tampered in anyway.
Remember, konga ,jumia even aliexpress have pay on delivery.
