"Ordinary stealing is what Nigerians call corruption?"

Guess they didn't include "stealing" in calculating the index

Bimpe29:
The ranking is somehow subjective, given the recent financial mess/scandal in public sector viz a viz; cash for arms deal, 10 billion naira spent on private jet and so on.

I'm pretty sure they would be aware of the issues you mention, they are common knowledge. The same as the other dubius and corrupt pieces of information, which lead to us being ranked lower in previous years.

Some may not like or accept it, but we have moved up in the index.

As long as Nigeria ranks more or less than India, depending on how you call the Index, consider it rubbish. If Nigeria becomes ten times more corrupt than now, India will still be more corrupt. White people have their favored peoples' and Nations and this plays a part in their fact gathering as well as social perceptions.
