@op I used to have flair for drawing in Primary School days but later living in a place I was not allowed to express myself, the talent died. My mum also gave up asking if I still draw. It hurts me badly as I see your beautiful handwork. Good job bro! But what do you really mean by ' Charcoal' artwork? |

nice work. but i don't much of a difference from a solid "2B" pencil we used in art class. Maybe just a little in the color density. keep it up. |

Killjoy, do you mean charcoal pencils? Can 2B,4B,6B etc., be regarded as charcoal pencils. |

Hmmm... Your shades are nice, but you can still improve alot on accuracy of features. I've got to try this charcoal... Em... Wait o, is it charcoal pencil or lumps of real charcoal? |

Oahray: I dey think say you sabi pass this guy, why d questions? |
Re: A Thread For Charcoal Portrait Artists by Oahray: 7:52am On Dec 09, 2014 |
omonla555:smh... You'd rather praise someone without pointing out where you think he can improve. Anyway you don't need to be better than him to see that his works can get better. Artists need critique more than mere praises. There's the regular charcoal from burning wood, and there's charcoal pencil which is a compressed form of the regular charcoal. They wouldn't come out exactly the same way on paper. The question (not questions) is to find out which he used. 2 Likes |
