So for my second post...I came across some old write up, I can't really say how good it is, guess it all up to the audience (you guys) to fill me in and tell your thoughts on this one....your comments, remarks and likes go a long long way. They are highly appreciated and welcome.Enjoy the read You could still check it out on this link http://tweesteadwords..de/2013/05/perils-of-twisted-heart.html?m=1 Yours truly tweestead Perils of a twisted heart What makes our humanity? Could it be? The little things we do, friendly pleasantries exchanged with the people around us, little gestures shown and flowers we send to our loved ones? The blood ties or the whispers of consciousness that re-sounds in head Or perhaps, the fact that we a little less than angels and a fraction above the animals Or how hard we strive to meet the standards of our creator? Does this make up our humanity and who are we truly? We live in an enchantment of reality Which never has a happy ending like a fairy tale At some point, we all must go through the duality of life. There would be a time to be kind and a time to endure the bitterness, A time to love unconditionally and a time to be consumed with venomous hatred, A time when tragedy becomes our stepping stone to overwhelming bliss. A time when we are regarded by so many and a time when we would be ignored by all How did we undergo this transition to a diabolical path? For the days of peace, kindness, love, freedom, amity, joy, euphoria has all eluded mankind The howl and fuss of the unborn generation washed away from our eyes like dust Starvation and suffering are the new toys for our children Guns and bombs are now the ambitions of our youths Mothers bathing in the blood of their beloved off-springs Fathers basking in the glut of depression and pain Hatred is all that we see, cruelty is all we breathe Misery now seems amusing as it walks with violence on the streets Greed of tomorrow destroying our yesterday Our avid of power nurtures stinging nostalgia Creating a scene for deceit and intrigue as the playwrights Gluttony portrayed at the center stage Spotlight focused on envy and sloth Lust and anger controlling the back stage Betrayal is the regalia worn by all And when the audience was silent, pride walked in with all humility Is this what makes our humanity? How long shall we be comforted by the aura of a dying soul? The cry for redemption has been forsaken like the sins in our dreams To all those deserted, battered, shattered and slandered The unity of our calamity shall reconcile the afflictions of our hearts All we need is vision with a sheer force of will not metaphors for control We hope for a better day, yet another promise broken. Where then does justice lie? In the grave with the anguish and compassionate words of freedom fighters? In the courageous bank accounts of our leaders who are nothing but pale horses snorting like the swine Are we the arbiter of our own justice or could it be that she never existed? I look up to a day when we don't have to fight over the abundance of our own stupidity The day when we shall all be one The day we love till the world is gone The day we fight till this war is won How do we earn this fortune? We all have defeated our purpose in life Having the wrong acumen about her I could take my last breathe to a better life for I have come to terms with my existence, my humanity But I could never say the same about you. |
