Nigeria’s Chibok Girls are currently in the running to be voted as America magazine Times Person of the Year (TIMEPOY) for 2014.

Currently, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the the pack with 15.4 per cent of the votes, while Nigeria’s Chibok Girls have just 2.5 per cent of the votes.

Modi is closely followed by the Ferguson Protesters (9.4 per cent), Hong Kong students’ leader Joshua Wong (7.1 per cent), Malala Yousafzai (5 per cent), Ebola doctors and nurses (4.5 per cent), Vladimir Putin of Russia (4.4 per cent), Pope Francis (2.6 per cent), Barack Obama (2.1 per cent), Beyonce (2 per cent), Hilary Clinton (1.2 per cent) and others.
