Where are pedestrians supposed to walk on this road? Are pedestrians not Nigerians too? I mean, the sheer thoughtlessness of the people who build these roads is shocking.

The next governor being an Ngwa man should focus on improving infractructure in Aba, it will be good for Abia State, Aba can generate enough IGR for Abia state, if its infrastructure is improved.

It's only a paid e-rat will come to NL to say Abia state has good roads, and because of the nature of my Job, I worked in NW Nigeria (about 2years) b4 a transfer to SE early this year, and the level of underdevelopment I saw in Abia made me weep. Abia state is no where compared to any state in Nigeria.

Pls Abagworo, in as much u are tryn to show d positive side of Abia state (umuahia) kindlly show us recent pictures of roads in Aba.

Mr. Man what are you trying to say, apart from Kano, plateau and kaduna which state in the North is more developed than Abia state?

Abagworo has not posted any Umuahia pics, what he has been posting is Aba and the last 8pics are Abiriba. Nobody in Nigeria can use underdevelopement to describe Abia because they know that Abia has the largest city in SE(Aba), 3rd most finest capital city in SE(Umuahia), a military city(Ohaofia) and 13 other small towns like Abiriba, ibere, Arochukwu, Amaigbo, Uzoakoli, Owerrinta, Azumiri, obehi, Ohanku, Umudike, Ahiaeke, Amawo and akwaete. But the problem we are having right now is the negligence of Aba city by the present administration. Umuahia and Abiriba are perfect.

Abia people are also very rich like their Imo and Anambra counterparts and are building fine-fine mansions in their villages so i don't know where you saw the underdevelopement or did you want to say bad roads in some part of Aba city.

Jonathan neglected Aba and much of Southeast and Southsouth. The reason why Dukes investments in Calabar failed os because all roads leading to Calabar are in a mess. It is same with Uyo and Aba. If the FG do their part, then the efforts of the State will be appreciated.

I never claimed Abia has good roads but I claim

Aba is the most industrialised city in Nigeria after Lagos.

Abiriba is the finest village in Igboland

Umuahia comes 3rd amongst State capitals right behind Enugu and Owerri.

Aba is the largest town in the East right after Port Harcourt.

Abia State University is the most beautiful in the East.

Aba has some of the worst roads in the country and these include mostly federal roads and State road.

Aba is the only city with completed power plant solely to serve the city.

Theodore Orji is a disappointment and deliberately neglected Aba because he was pelted with "pure water".

i like the answer you gave bro

Unimpressive. You guys should please stop embarrassing us with these pathetic pictures. Like someone else said, for development pics, cities like Uyo, Enugu, Lagos, Abuja, PH, even Benin etc, are far more impressive than this ....garbage. Until the semi-literate, ignorant dunces who run places like Abia State understand that you do not build a road without sidewalks, or with open drains, and no road markings, signs etc etc, I think they should simply be ignored when it comes to these development threads. And whoever came up with that ''God's own state'' nonsense should be flogged for his shocking lack of imagination and nake.d mimicking.

You are still talking of no sidewalk, open drainage and no marking?
Bro, you are up to something.

The characteristics of these people is that they look for fault selectively. I believe criticism should be all inclusive and not targetted at particular group or interest. When they come to Imo thread, they condemn the booming of tourism and hospitality or building of schools or free education or turn blind eye to the fact that Owerri has the most maintained greenery and wide well kept median or almost the entire Owerri city has streetlights etc.

Now I presented them with facts they did not know about industries in Aba and they are looking for ways to downplay the truth. Aba is not beautiful but it has over 40thousand cottage shoe factories. Aba has higher per capita income than even Lagos and is only 2nd to Port Harcourt. These are simple truths. That Aba has some if the worst roads is also true. That Theodore Orji treated Aba wrongky is also true.

My brother just relax i know who they are but i don't want to engage them so as not to derail this thread.

Nobody here has said that Aba is good but they are trying to put it to us that we are defending Aba and Ochendo. Despite the level of decay in Aba it is still better than theirs.

Someone can have the mind to ask me here about sidewalks and roadmarkings after seeing different roads with road markings and different types of sidewalk. I tire for this people oo, they hardly appreciate good thing from another state. May God bless them

It should be noted that abia needs redemption despite the fact that we are going to be surcasing the good side on this thread, prior to this i suggest that we also use this symposium to discuss the political challenges of our state. We should note our problems and suggest capable hands who can devise the panacea to these problems. Abia will liberated this time.

right bro, I'll like this thread to be a political discussion forum for Abians and well wishers.

Our state need redemption especially Aba, but lets not forget the good places and good things God has blessed us with.

We have the strongest cultural heritage in the whole of Igboland, our culture is unique and our dances are superb.

You talk too much.
You're yet to post any clear pix while those outside your state is doing the job for you.
Stop looking for enemy where there is none because the guy you're referring to is not an Igbo man.
Nobody is your problem so face what's killing you before you turn to a dead corpse.
You're hyping abia state and nobody attacked you, but you will come to anambra thread with your brother in foolishness and attacked those hyping their city and state.
That's the reason why I always fight odenigbo at the enugu.
If you're not cool with some certain things then ignore it and mind your business.

All your response on this thread is even too daft and shallow, and its not what I expect from an old man like you.

Stop snapping same residential area of a man from different angles and pasting here. I know you're trying to defend Abia, but stop insulting us with pictures of private redidential areas snapped from different angles to fill up space here. Where is faulks rd, omuma rd, old express rd, powerline, Ibegbulam, Nkwoha, Adindu, Cemetry, Ohanku rd, Ngwa rd, Portharcout rd, Osisioma, Ogborhill and Ehere Market? Where are pics of Uratta rd? You are the one who is cursed, this forum is not for children so mind the language you use. Don't use that word CURSE again.

Look at how you are exposing your emptiness, nobody here is defending Aba and Ochendo. We are just showcasing the beauty of Abia state.

What customized and i have been posting is pictures of Umuahia from different locations, I've been posting Finbars road, Ochendo close and it's axis, Mata Dei axis, BCA road, and some part of Aguiyi ironsi layout while Customized posted library road, akanu ibiam road, Okpara avenue, Dangerat avenue, a portion of Bende road and Umuahia mall under construction. It was only Abagworo that has posted some parts of Aba and Abiriba roads.

You mentioned some bad roads in Aba but failed to mention some good ones like Aba/owerri road, brass street, Umungasi road, ekenna road, factory road, okigwe road, asa road, azikiwe road, East road, pound road, tenant road, market road, okpolu umuobu road, and many good roads in River layout, old and new GRAs.

Oga don't expose your emptiness again, we are showcasing Umuahia for now not Aba soon I'll storm Aba. Aba is bad but not as bad as you people portray on internet, it still has many good places and house many prominent and educated Igbos.
The Aba branch of Nigeria bar association(NBA) is very strong, with Aba having the highest number of chambers in the whole of South-south and South-east.

By tomorrow or next I will be shifting my attention to govt layout Umuahia.
