Thanks a lot I appreciate your words of encouragement. But please if you have any idea please share with me, I don't know if I can go as a casual worker since am a fresh graduate and has no much work experience and then later apply for the studies after saving some more money since the work allowance can't cover my school fees?

I don't know but if your plan is to study, then you can always apply for jobs when you land.

zionboo...checkout this paragraph in my SOP...HIT? OR MISS
It should be noted that I haven’t undergone the National Youth Service corp (NYSC) program which all graduates are expected to undergo. I intend to come back and undergo the programme as it is the only way I can legally be at the helms of affairs at my dads company, As without it I cannot successfully bid for a contract. A situation which would spell doom for the company and throw about two decades of hard work of my dad into the bin.

There is no age limitation in acquiring knowledge. Even if you are 95years old, and wanna go for Diploma, as long as you have genuine reason of pursuing the programme and you have evidential documents to back your story. Story of what you have been doing since the last time you studied in academic environ till now, what motivated you to go back to school, and what you intend doing with the knowledge.
Pls. don't limit yourself. It's good to know your limitations and defy them. I've read two different stories of senior citizens who got their first degree above 60years of age in UK. I also read online about an elderly man from Asia or so, who was above 50 and got visa to pursue his degree in Canada.
I wish you all the best.

@ newacca thanks for the encouragement, pls what are step he will take to get admission. He wish to study computer sciences, information technology or business management. He waec result English C5,maths C4, physics C5,Biology C6, Economic C4 chemistry D7

If you can sponsor yourself then why do you need to work for sometimes to save money before starting your course?
Be honest with your question so that people will give you an honest answer.

You can't travel to Canada as a causal work before starting a course, that will be almost impossible.

My good people in canny .@fhemmy, Pchax, akani and Co and any one who has testimonies and experience should asnwer.
1.i just got admission to lambton college in ontario through maple education, though i applied through them.lambton college forwarded my admission letter to them directly and they nw sent it to me. Want to know if this admission is legit cos I thought the school is meant to send me the admission letter directly.

2.please is it possible to survive in Canada and hustle ur school fees urself when u get dia? I can only pay first semester tution fee when I get dia. Please from experienced people has anyone being in this shoe where he doesn't have anyone and he has to pay school fees through hustling over dia?

Firstly, congrats on your admission. I do not know much about #2 but I believe it depends on the person and how much the said fees is and even the program and also scholarships. When it comes to money matters, a lot of variables are involved. Not to dampen your Spirits, I would advice you do your calculations very well. Minimum wage is around $10 or $11/hr here (not really sure). You have 20 hours to work when enrolled. Even if you collect pay under the table, multiply your min wage by tops 50 hours/week. See if it offsets your fees and 4 months of paying $300 for accommodation. Then throw in another $300 for food, transport and other things every month.

I don't know if I am giving you the answer you want. I just want to give you an overview of the expenses you would incur for you to know if to make a calculated risk or not. Please do not come to Canada and suffer. If you have a job in Nigeria, you can differ your admission and make more money to come better prepared. All the best as you make your final decision. Cheers!

Bro, don't let anyone tell you, you can't do something. You won't be the first person working to sponsor himself through school in Canada and you won't also be the last. Your program allows for 6 months coop which is good for you to make some bucks, and you could also take a further semester off if need be to get more.

If you can scale the hurdle of visa processing then good for you. Come here and devise legit means of sponsoring yourself [/quo

No disrespect but make una no advise this guy. It will be extremely difficult to hustle one semester school fees on a 20hr per week visa. It will be very difficult to get a part time job in ontario that pays $20/hr, most in Ontario pay like $11-15/hr. Anywayz, nothing is impossible sha. Maybe when school is off you fit come Alberta follow your mate work for Oil Rig and make $28 per hour on a 12hr shift X 7days a week. Na your body go tell you but in one month your tuition go complete. God bless your hustle but think the waka well. I hardly comment here brother. Please if my comment sound RUDE i truly apologize.

Please Oga Siga and all other bosses, in your opinion, what is the cheapest service to use to call Nigeria? I currently use international call cards and it costs like $10 for 140 minutes. I feel that there are better deals out there. I can even see some on google but do not know which one to trust with my credit card details.

Thanks for your anticipated feedback.

you didnt add money for textbooks.. cos i spend $1k + every semester on textbooks.. abi your school na free textbooks? my house rent is $450/m. the truth is, you CAN'T hustle and raise your tuition fees.. a semester is just 3months+. how do you intend to raise $6k5 = N1.1m as a full-time student? even under table wont raise it. unless you're totally out of school... Canada is a nice place no doubt.. Canada needs your money.. you pay tax on daily living of things you purchase. even ordinary salt and pepper..

I use Telbo. You have to download the app to your phone and call over Wi-Fi network. They charge 0.028cents per minute to Nigeria.
