One would've thought the coast was clear enough for the former ministers and gubernatorial aspirants, when the president announced their intention to leave his cabinet in pursuit of their gubernatorial ambition. Weren't they loyal enough to the president such that he could safeguard their interest?. Former minister of Labour's dream of becoming a governor in 2015 may have finally been killed & so are former ministers of health & information. The PDP ensured there's no real challenger against the president for his ticket, but couldn't he have ensured his boys also get theirs in their respective states?. I personally think it's either the president is not really in control of the party or he's too selfish & insensitive to the needs of his supporters. Whichever case it is, it's a dangerous signal for his re_election in 2015.

The very reason I think he would really have to work harder in the few days remaining. Let him not rely on media hype or propaganda. He should be real to himself. If his party folks could reject "his men", it could be an indication that all's not well o.

You are right. Besides, he's created many enemies for himself even within d PDP. Most of the defections from PDP were needless but because the leader is incapable & too selfish (in most cases not willing to accommodate d interest of others), he cared less who left d party. Little wonder, the nation is drifting apart. In African setting, a man who fails to put his house in order is automatically disqualified from contesting for community leadership.
APC isn't an alternative party for me, but truth be told Jonathan's way of handling PDP affairs may cheaply pave way for Atiku in Aso rock.

It was always important to have a fair process in PDP and support the candidates chosen by their own people

I think this is a good strategy rather than impose candidates on the party.

Unfortunately a lot of his close allies have paid the price but I think it is a very strategic move.
