grin grin grin If Buhari wins, he will use all our money to pay loan sharks. cheesy

Honestly, we cannot afford all those compound interest loans to be paid from our oil money.

The looting avenues and excuses are enough as they are.

God forbid, he might even use oil blocks and other national assets to pay the loan sharks.

BUT APC mess up big time.

What happened to FASHOLA? Fashola as VP is nonsense if that's the plan. He should be contesting for presidency.

Instead of them to groom Fashola & Ribadu towards 2015, they rushed Ribadu, a feather-weight to contest for presidency in 2011.

Anyway sha, Tinubu is delivering for PDP.

followed closely, the APC National convention through out the day, sharing my time between work and information I left work early (9pm) and went to the Teslim Balogun stadium to witness a major event in the history of Nigeria, one that decides our future. I spent sometime there, and after seeing with my eyes the family structured convention, where Fayemi was up and down to make sure, everything is on point for the major event,I zoomed off home. I realised an atmosphere of Democracy was prevailing in the environment, all contestants had banners and deir fans all over the place, I particularly recognized Okorochas pple everywhere, and I said to myself, here is another man giving the Igbos an opportunity to line up and vote for deir blood, and not being attached with the South or being deceived that PDP is an Igbo party when the President, vice president, Senate president, House of rep are not from their land. I got home, I decided to put on the tv and continue the follow up. And then I put it on AIT, I was surprised it was being aired, becasuse as known AIT is controlled by Jonathan through Dokpesi, NTA is a govt controlled station, likewise Stv, where the chairman just won a PDP ticket to contest for the sente. With my sleepy eyes I settled down to watch my assumed Apc convention. After 15 mins I noticed the leaking Umbrella on my Tv screen, and then it confirmed my AIT-PDP connection. It was at that point I realized PDP had their own national convention in Abuja same day, with APC, the only Agenda for the election was the selection of the president, then I appreciated what ApC was doing, giving us the previlege of feeling what political tension feels like, even for the Taniods, they are all ears praying Atiku wins the Ticket, it's still part of the feeling your part can't give you. Through out the day I did not see or hear it on radio, Tv, Twitter, Facebook, even our Nairaland that PDP have a convention, but multiple threads have been opened for the APC election. I remember in the days of Peter odilii-Obasanjo elections, (Odili stepped down) when you see the moderator counting the votes keep saying "Obasanjo, Obasanjo...after 50 Obasanjo's, then they sight a vote for another candidate, that was when PDP was relevant, but now they don't even make the news...Nigerians are tired of an autocratic system. Never in the history of PDP has there been a selection process in which all forms were withheld. If all parties did selection, what will we be discussing and throwing jabs at ourselves on? As Nigeria stays on a standby to vote for their candidate, I implore you all to use your brains. Merci.
Seconded...... Sai Buhari

Abuja must b shaking in its boots by now.As far back as good, objective and honest pple recall buhari has bn a formidable candidate despite all d rigging against him.Even during d election dt brought yar adua to power,it took only d deciding vote from d supreme court chief justice to rule against him.
With an hopefully more free and fair election where gej wudnt b getting 90% of d vote from an impossible 90% turn out in some regions, change may finally b on d air.Sai buhari.Down to incompetence, corruption and extreme cluelessness under a questionable pH.d holder.

My thought too, GEJ has really lost it, but the truth of the matter is that, never in the history of Nigeria, has a sitting president conduct an election and loses, it is next to impossible! "Is like you conducting an examination and you will now fail yourself, base on the fact dat u took part in thesame examination" is dat possible, the only way out is for a netural body conducting the elections, or better still all the political parties coming together and appointing an INEC boss, by way of votting.

The way its stands now, the sitting president has noting to fear, he has an upper hand over any canididate.

This is the best primary election that Nigeria has ever had in the history of this country.

Am so happy because am going to use this opportunity to vote against Jonathan for collecting my 1000 naira during that immigration exams.

And am so happy today because the change many PDP thought won't be possible is glaring in their eyes now. As at today, BUHARI is the most popular Nigerian, and if this trend continue like dis it will be so difficult for PDP to rig the election because in a free and fair contest PDP will loose by larger margin. Most of my BBM contacts has Buhari on their DPs, even on facebook Buhari is the topic of the day.

God bless Nigeria

Must you include Igbos in your write up before you make sense? What stupid opportunity is APC given the Igbos through Rochas when it is clear that their flag bearer Buhari has been predetermined long before this day

You people should better be critical of Buhari before he disappoints you due to complacency. This was the same level of expectations people had in Obasanjo in 1999 rejoicing that we were off military rule only for OBJ to dash our dreams. The same and even farther ws placed on GEJ and today you and I are worse off. Now again everyone is chanting saiBuhari without even holding the man to say in conctrete terms steps that he is going to take to correct the ills of the past (which he was part of anyway) rather you are all allowing him to the chorus of I will provide employment, 24/7 power, security, water, free education etc.

Please when next you see Buhari ask him in concrete terms to stte steps he intends to use and achieve all these and if he cannot explain one by one then run for your der life cos nigeria won't change for the better like that without someone understanding and knowing what he was elected to correct.

Again for the umpteenth time Igbos out of your story and. Report wat you saw, the same Way you saw APC and pitched your tent with the North is the same way they saw PDP and pitched theirs with the South. They may be wrong, you maybe wrong but don't judge or question anyone for their political conviction. Some of you annoy me when you begin and end your day with the word "Igbo". Na wa sef!

If we are honest, did Buhari actually lost any of those electiond except for Nigeria scientific rigging, especially the 2011 election?
In 2011 without any single governor backing him with structure or money, no real party structure either with a new party and he managed to garner 12 million votes despite the massive rigging and you think 12 million votes from a lone ranger had no following? What world are you living in?

Can Obasanjo or Jonathan able to win a state house assembly elections without PDP structures and their professional rigging schemes?
Forget about politics and be honest.

Why is the PDP advicing Buhari? PDP should have left Buhari to continue with his only campaign issue: stopping corruption. As if Nigerians are all foolish;

as if majority of Nigerians do not know that having Abuja-Revenue-Collector and Sharer System of govt is what engineers corruption in high places in Nigeria. In this system, politicians are very detached from the voters, hence politicians do not render account of stewardship to the electorate.

Of course, no president from the north, including Buhari can allow Fiscal Federalism return to Nigeria. The present Unitary govt system favours the north.

Buhari's talk of stopping corruption is mere sound bytes.

Yes a Nigeria president can stabilize the oil market like the Saudis if he has influence over other OPEC members, by convincing them to lower their production quoters.
Ignorance is not a good trait to have.

While I congratulate Gen. Buhari on his victory at the APC presidential primaries, I remain unconvinced that a seventy-something year-old former military dictator is Nigeria's long-awaited messiah. Make no mistake, Buhari is, I believe, a very honest man. As President, he would probably be motivated to make an impact, much more than the pathetic effort that Jonathan has so far exerted. No, Muhammadu Buhari is not a bad person per se and my objection to his candidature has nothing to do with his tribe or religion. Rather, I am worried that Nigeria today has not yet birthed a political system that can allow its best and brightest, its vibrant and brilliant young minds, who exist in abundance, to rise to the highest echelons of political power. If our choices for the topmost office in our land are limited to Jonathan and Buhari, what does that say about our level of development as a nation?

Are you saying that giving a choice, you will reject a candidate that by your own words, you described as a very honest man, that would probably be motivated to make an impact and vote another that your claim has exerted pathetic effort just because of age?

Mehn, you are a classic case!
