left for for me, most northern politicians are lazy and it's attributable to free 'oil money'. How does one expect these governors to look inwards and harness whatever resources that abounds within their states ( besides, there's hardly any state in Nigeria without its own form of blessings) when they know very well that something substantial is bound to fall in from Abuja every month....worst still is the loans they collect and nothing to show for such, all because of anticipation of oil money.

so back to your question, why would any sincere and ambitious leader be afraid of true federalism and even 80 percent resource control? Corruption!!! personally, i'm of the opinion that all states should av total control of their resources and remit taxes to d central government...that would even curtail the clamor for state creation, crazy loans, crave for political offices by thieves and trust it will stimulate growth in the long run.

Oga Galadima, many thanks for your post o jare.
Not only northern governors but all the 36 state governors and WORSE still the 774 LGA chairmen are very lazy buffoons sharing oil money rather than exploit the values in their own locality.

Ever since the American parliament made their famous prophecy about Nigeria's breakup in 2005, I knew Nigeria was destined for greatness. Greatness that is not limited to the West African sub region alone, but greatness that will span the entire continent of Africa and the world at large. This is what the Americans are trying to avoid.
It's important Nigerians know that, America will do anything to break up any country that may rise to challenge her super power status. They did it to former USSR. They did it to DR Congo. They did it to Cuba. Now they're doing it to China and Nigeria.

like av always said, d divide is not between d dfrnt tribes or religious beliefs....it's btw d haves and d haves not or ruling class and d followers. the gap is most widened due to embezzlement vis a vis corruption. what i seek is fairness in leadership n if its a pegan that's gonna ensure no one goes to bed hungry while another wallows in collective wealth. so be it...

You should have asked how I guessed correctly

NUPE people I have met are peace loving to the point that you hardly see them display any form of Islamic radicalism

As for the issue of state creation , I believe it will rid you guys of any Hausa-Fulani influence which most times is regressive in nature

Do you people know what's going on? Do you know that America is in the process of giving Cameroon extraordinary help? Do you guys realize that France is in the process of increasing its presence in Niger over what she claims are fears over "Nigeria Bokoharam" threatening her slave colonies of Niger,Chad, Cameroon and C.A.R?

What does this mean for Nigeria?

Why has Bokoharam gone quiet?

When, as likely, these Western powers attack Nigeria after the election using Bokoharam or Delta Militants as proxy, (depending on who wins the election) will Nigerians be smart enough to see what is going on or will Nigerian attack one another as they hope?

WhiteTechnology:
The 20th century has witnessed the rise of non-western powers threatening the world order established by some very racist whites.

First to rise was Haiti, then Japan and now China/India.

The rise of these powers has seen the Western powers lose more privileges, control , markets and most importantly resources.

Nigeria is a potential superpower not because of her population but because if she is industrialized and decides to build a 10 lane railways connecting every African country to her, she will build an African empire out of trade and commerce influential enough to wean Africa of Western neocolonialism.

ECOWAS and ECOMOG are clear proofs

Despite poor implementation, we can see how much these organizations have achieved.

I want to use this medium to tell our SW neighbours to avoid playing the script of indigenous neo colonists from the North who neither mean well for the country or their people.

If Nigeria breaks up (which I do support)
SW will be denying herself the opportunity of being part of this great future empire if she makes enemy of her Southern and Middle belt neighbours due to greed for the post of VP in the disguise of "Change"

What Nkrumah Zik Sankara Mandela dreamt of achieving can still be achieved not through their erroneous believe of a bigger country but through trade, commerce and technology connected by railways.

With love from the East= The trade commerce and technological light of Africa. cool

The first statement is a blatant lie, American parliament NEVER made that prediction. Nigerians that cannot read and understand did that, so please retract that fallacy.

Where was America when China was attaining greatness? Or were they preoccupied with the 'Destroy Nigeria' project they failed to notice China's rise?
Keep blaming America- for our wrong choice of leaders, corruption endorsement, eroded morals, declining standards in education, non-existent security and zero power supply. Rubbish people that blame others for the poor choices we make angry

But my friend, if the Hausa-Fulani take the violent route after 2015 election and it leads to break up, which of the divide will your people follow.?

My reason for this question is that I know that people of SS/SE are insisting on equity fairness and Justice in political power which will lead them to do all it takes to win the election which will not go down well with the Hausa-Fulani people who might plot a coup that will be violently resisted and secessionist movement taken seriously like never before .

The reason the British gave power to the North instead of the South especially the Igbos , is because they know we have dreams capable of destroying their neocolonial strangle hold

Do you know that Ojukwu was hated by the British because he was the first military officer to encourage indigenous military production and acquisition of weapons from other nations.

It is true we are our greatest problem but the fact must be told which is if Nigeria fixes herself up, it will one day be powerful enough to liberate Africa from neocolonialism through trade/commerce built on an African railway express and Nigeria serious industrialisation.
