Don't know where you got 'wisdom' from... You did not realise that no true enterpreneur will invest in a system/plant & equipment that are non-functional... So prospective buyers will see the potentials & viability in the rail transport system.
Have you taken out time to investigate how UK rail system operate? Several companies bought it over. You can see the efficiency in service. Go to New York rail transport.
See privatisation is 2nd to none... GEJ IS VERY RIGHT....
