Can We Meet You Sir?
I am Olabode John Wesley by name, a Nigerian
by
citizenship, a Film Manager and Media
Practitioner by
profession and a Member of the Federal Republic
of
Nigeria.
Interesting! Member of The Federal Republic.
When
was this honour conferred on you?
Well, unlike every other existing MFR in Nigeria
who
got the honour conferred on them by one means
or
the other, mine is different. I realized that as a
Nigerian we all belong to the Federal Republic
just like
anyone who belongs to any professional institute
or
organisation is regarded as a member of the
organisation, so I came about my own MFR
honour
naturally as a Nigerian. Because I am a Nigerian
in all
ramifications, and Nigeria is a Federal Republic,
therefore I am a Member of that Republic which
unquestionably automatically accords me the
title of
MFR (Member of the Federal Republic).
What Triggered Your Interest To Contest For
President
and Not Other Office?
My interest to contest in the first place wasn't
for the
general purpose Nigerians are used to and
contesting
for the Office of the President was a major
purpose I will definitely make known much later.
Be that as it
may, I am a very political conscious Nigerian, an
uncompromising Comrade and not one like the
Come
and Raids. I am driven by vision and purpose
towards
the emergence of New Nigeria devoid of corrupt
leaders, public servants and followers. My heart
loudly
clamours for a CHANGE expressly different from
the
politically desired Change. When I say politically
desired Change, I simply imply that, some
political
institutions desire Change but what comes to
mind is
what kind of Change do they really want to
effect? Is it
Change in the way things are done
administratively?
Change in all sectors? Change in human
disposition?
Change in orientation or just a change in
political
leadership of the affairs of the Nation? That
desired
CHANGE is one to see through the emergence of
a
Youth oriented leadership and solomonic
political
system.
What Plans Do You Have For Nigerians If You
Emerge
As President?
What our agenda carries is an Egalitarian society
for all
Nigerians. Like I said earlier, we are out on a
course to
do an entire overhauling of the system and to
straighten all bended cords. Our major focus
under an
Egalitarian society falls into three which are:
1. Agriculture
2. Education
3. Power
Over the years, we have identified serious
setback in
these three major sector of our economy and as
such
can do more in these sector to ensure sustenance
of
our economy. We all cannot be Bankers, Doctors,
Engineers and Politicians without anyone building
up a
career around Agriculture. We also cannot
continue
make plans towards raising a Mega Nation with
modern infrastructures without basic education
on the
importance of these things and its maintenance.
All
these will not survive excellently well if we decide
run
all its life span on power generator without
building up
a constant power supply source.
Imagine the number of graduates being churned
out of
the University every year and then they go to
serve for
one wasted year without gaining anything from
the
government. Imagine a situation whereby all
corpers
don't have to teach in the classroom alone but
also
have to be farmers in a well conducive
environment
with all necessary mechanism to engage in
farming and
sure relaxation recreation to wind off at the end
of
everyday work on a farm nourishedly controlled
by the
government. Imagine a young graduate of
Economics
taking up a farming job and getting a Peugot 306
as an
official car for a start and self-contained en suit
apartment for his comfort working on the farm
and
contributing to the growth of the Nation as he
happily
feeds the Nation. Even you before me will like
enjoy
such comfort as a farmer. The education sector
also
ensures that all Nigerian child gain access to
free basic
quality education and thereafter be exposed to
the
privilege of making a choice which vocational
know he/
she will like to acquire. Remember, 85percent of
vocational knowledge acquired requires constant
power supply for it to survive without having to
worry
over power failure thereby stalling the business.
With
all these in place, every other development will
survive and a stable economy can be guaranteed.
Can You Tell Us About Your Party?
Independent Progressive Congress is new online
operational political party with a vision to bridge
the
gap. We realize the existing Gap between Leaders
and
Followers, between custodians of the law and law
offenders, between the government and the
citizens,
and we are out to bridge these gaps. IPC
represents
Justice and Fairness For All. We are committed
to
selfless service to humanity.
One Word of Advise For Nigerians?
We must realize that this Our country and we
have no
other place to go than to see ourselves as one to
fight
our common enemy which is CORRUPTION and
also
endeavour to A.S.K. What will they ask?
A - Act Right
S - Shun Violence and Corrupt Practices
K - Know The Law and Abide.
This way, a New Nigeria is definitely certain.
Aluta
Continua...
Thank You Very Much For Your Time Sir.
The Pleasure is mine and God Bless Nigeria.
