i got a business idea dat im working on.but i need to partner with someone because of capital, its not a scam or get rich quick scheme.so give me the benefit of doubt.
now my business idea is simple and profitable.its selling rare dvds/vcds.now i came accross a website in the usa that specialises in educational videoson hard subjects like maths and chemistry.i have already ordered for and recieved one dvd for maths.it is a 10hr dvd that covers all the topics in mathmatics for o'level students.im working on obtaining a copyright from them to be able to copy thier dvd into vcds which most nigerians use.this dvd is wonderful .it teaches all the complex maths topics so wonderfully well dat the most brainless person on earth has a chance of getting an A in maths.now think of this waec registers about 7million candidates nationwide taking o level.add another lets say 4million in SS2 nationwide and add maybe another 3million students in ss1 nationwide.we have a prospective market of 10million students.lets not be too greedy and assume we can sell to at least 100,000 students at 2,500naira each then we have sales like 250,000,000 naira.
so how do we sell ?
simple, adverts on newspapers.
gaurdian newspapers sells like 400,000 papers daily.
vanguard about 200,000 e.t.c.if we place a very attractive advert that will catch the attention of parents so that they can order for the vcds for thier kids.they can then pay into a business acount in the bank.im thinking of a business name like active educators .then we are on our way to big bucks.ive gotten the maths dvd.i just bought a computer set and a dvd writer for converting the dvds to vcd.i just need money to place an advert in newspaper.
advert costs about12,000 on guardian and about 9,000 on vangaurd .we hope that each advert will fetch us at least 100 orders.we will put our phone numbers and we will deliver by courier.when each dvd is converted to vcd it will take 8 vcds.8 vcds cost 100 per vcd.dat is 800.courier delivery is 500naira.so cost per sale is 1300 and we sell for 2,500.below is the copy of the dvd web page and other relevant things.remember u wont send me any money.i will design the advert.and u can go and pay at the newspapaer office.call me for more details uzor 08063867832.

Producing And Marketing "How-To" DVD's!

Let me repeat: You do not have to be a genius, expert or any kind of "techno-head" to take advantage of the "How-To" DVD revolution.

I'll explain more about what you will need in a moment. But first, let's talk a little about how you can make money and become financially independent very quickly by exploiting the "How-To" DVD market.

Listen: All you have to do initially is identify a group of people who have a particular passion, specialist interest or hobby.

The very best way to identify this group of people is to think about your own passions, special interests and hobbies. For example, you may be a keen gardener, piano player, footballer, computer game player or, any number of things.

And, if you do not have any passions, special interests or hobbies yourself, all is not lost. Because the next step is to take a trip down to your local newsagent or WH Smith and scan the magazine rack. What you are looking for here is a specialist magazine targeted to a group of people who are…

Extremely Passionate About

The Subject Matter Of That Magazine!

It's almost impossible not to come up with a handful of special interest magazines in a just a couple of minutes. For example, at any major magazine rack you will find specialist magazines catering for golfers, weight lifters, martial artists, photographers, Mac users, PC users, people thinking about buying a villa or holiday home in Italy (or Spain, or France, or Bulgaria, or, or, ), fiction writers, cat lovers, dog lovers, people that keep tropical fish, horse owners, brides to-be, people interested in UFO's and the supernatural, and the list goes on and on.

The fact that these special interest magazines exist means:

1). There is a sufficient size "core group" of people who are interested in the subject matter of that magazine. And…

2). The readers of that magazine are passionate enough about the subject matter of the magazine that they are willing to fork over their money in return for information pertaining to their interest.

In other words, what you have done by scanning and flipping through these highly targeted, specialist, niche magazines is identify…

Potential "Pockets Of Profit"!

Okay, let us assume that you have a particular interest in say, martial arts. And your "research" at WH Smith reveals that there exist the following specialist magazines targeted at other people interested in martial arts: Combat, Martial Arts, TKD, Traditional Karate, Black Belt Magazine and Inside Kung-Fu (and that's just at WH Smith!)

Now, you have identified something you are intensely interested in and passionate about, and, you know because of the magazines, that there is a whole "sub culture" of other people who are interested in, passionate about and, most importantly…

Already Spending Money On

Information Related To Their Special Interest!

In other words, you have identified a "hungry market".

What you would do next is brainstorm possible ideas for a "How-To" DVD that the readers' of those magazines would be itching to pay you money for. For starters you would read the articles in the magazines, pay attention to the "letters to the editor" section of the magazines (i.e., recurring questions the readers' want to know the answers to) and also, take note of what is being offered in the classified section of the magazines.

Okay, let us assume that after brainstorming some ideas and flicking through a few back issues of the martial arts magazines you determine that many readers would like to know more about how to take their "classroom" knowledge and "streamline" it into an effective fighting system for winning any street fight.

What you would do next is simple: You would set aside a few hours (maybe a rainy Sunday afternoon), set up your equipment (an inexpensive digital video camera, tripod etc.,) and film yourself (or somebody else qualified in martial arts) teaching other people how to perform certain "take out" moves that will enable them to win a street fight – no matter how much bigger, meaner or stronger the opponent.

Aside from some sparse editing, you now have a recording of your "How-To" product. And for a few pence you can have that recording transferred onto duplicate DVD's, which means, you can sell that "How-To" DVD to…

Hundreds, Thousands, And

Even, MILLIONS, Of People!

What's that? You say you have absolutely no interest in martial arts?

Don't fret. You will never run out of things people want to know about. The list is almost endless.

Everyone wants to know how to "enhance" their life. How to make more money. How to be more attractive. How to win at their chosen sport. How to advance in their career. What the best investments are. How to find bargains. How to make things. How to sell things. Where the holiday "hot spots" are this season. Where to go for the latest fashions. What the latest equipment is, where to get it cheaper than anywhere else, how to get the best out of it, and so forth, and so on, etc., etc.

The list will never end, because, peoples wants are insatiable!

Still not convinced you can make money by "feeding" people what they want to know?

Okay, let's see if I can't get you mind revved up and dancing with profitable ideas:

There's a guy in America who produced a video tape (this was before DVD's) that simply showed his pet Macaw (that's a bird) speaking. He marketed the tape to other owners as a way to train their birds to speak. Did it sell? You bet!

He Made Over $20,000 (Approx. £11,558)

From That One Tape Alone!

Think that's bizarre?

Another guy in Virginia, U.S.A. was stumped for an idea for his how-to product. Then he realised he had just traded in his small motor home for a big recreational vehicle (RV) and had saved himself several thousand dollars.

Do you have any idea how many people in the United States own RV's: over 12 MILLION. What's more, there happen to be a number of specialist RV trader publications where people list their used RV's for sale.

The guy produced a "How-To" DVD showing other people how to research the best deals on used RV's, what to look for, where to find the best deals etc., and made a killing in this market.

Still not convinced?

A quick search on the Internet and you will be absolutely astounded and staggered at the variety of "How To" DVD's being sold. There's "How To" DVD's on embroidery, cake making, how to be an erotic dancer, how to play chess, a how to dance on your wedding day DVD, and, get this, a how to paint your tractor DVD!

More: Just today I noticed an advertisement in the National press selling a printed "How To" information product titled, "Your Talking Cat". It tells you how to communicate with and talk to your cat. It's true! And I know that product is making money. If the information was reformatted into a DVD, it would probably make even more money!

You see, one of the great things about DVD's it they cost about 60 pence to duplicate, and yet, you can sell a single DVD for £30 to £40.

That's A 5,000% To 6,666% Mark-Up!

And people will willingly pay that kind of mark-up because they're not really buying the DVD. No. What they are buying is the specialist information on the DVD that either "enhances" their life, or, helps them solve a "pressing problem" in their life!

The other great thing about DVD's is an astonishing number of people today have a DVD player, or, they are able to watch DVD's from their home computer. And people love to watch DVD's.

Let's face it: Most people would prefer to sit back, relax and watch someone do something, or explain something on a DVD than have to read about it in a book (course or report) or, listen to the information on a cassette tape or CD. DVD is the…

Ultimate Multi-Media Experience!

The information is brought to "life" on DVD in ways it never can be in auditory or written format alone.

And no, the DVD you produce doesn't have to be anywhere near Hollywood style production. Not even close!

People are much more interested in the "substance" and "content" of a "How-To" DVD than they ever will be with the special effects and fancy graphics. Just think, if you were a rabid golfer and you wanted to improve your putting, what would you really want: a "glitzy" Hollywood style history of the short game, or, a real, die-in-the wool, "stripped-to-the-bone", "here's-how-you-do-it" informational DVD, with a real person showing you how to putt better?

Look, in this business…

Solid Information Will Win Over Glamorous Entertainment Every Time!

Now, before we talk a little more about how much money you can realistically make from "How To" DVD's, you will need to know how to market the DVD's you produce.

Actually, it's much easier than you would imagine.

Remember how I talked before about scanning and flipping through specialist / hobby magazines to find "hungry markets" of people? People who are passionate about and are already spending money on their interest? Well, those magazines as well as being potential "pockets of profit" will also act as your…

Marketing Message "Delivery System"!

For example, all you would need to do is place a small "teaser" classified or display ad in the specialist magazine that targets your audience. Typically, this will cost you around £30 to £40.

The purpose of that small "teaser" ad is not to sell your "How To" DVD directly off the page. Instead, its only purpose is to get enough people to "raise their hand" and request more information on the topic of your DVD. Typically, your "teaser" ad would either direct the reader to a simple website like this, or, get them to call a recorded message where they can leave their name and address, so you can send them your full marketing message through the post.

Either way, the only people you send (or will see) your full marketing message are those who are serious enough to request it. And, out of those who read your full marketing message, it is likely, if you are providing unique information that those people want to know more about, a percentage will fill out their bank / credit card details on a simple order form or, write a cheque and send it to you through the post in return for your "How To" DVD.

Either way, you have now received up-front money.

You don't even have to duplicate the DVD until you receive payment for it (and you can get other people to do this for you) so, you never have to chase the money!

Okay, right now, you probably want me to get to the heart of the matter and tell you what kind of money you can realistically make producing and marketing "How To" DVD's, right?

Well, let's say that you have produced your DVD and you are offering it for sale for £39.95.

Let us also assume that only 100 people buy it. That would mean you only make £3,995 on that one DVD.

But, what if you were to produce and market one new DVD a month.

Going on the figures above, that would mean you'd make £39.95 x 100 x 12 =

£47,940 Per Year!

Not too shabby for a few hours work here and there. However, in all honesty, if your DVD only sold 100 copies, then I would consider that DVD to be a flop. Which means…

You Can Still Make A Lot Of Money

Even If Your DVD Is A Dismal Failure!

And not every DVD you produce and market will be a flop. Not even close. It's more likely that if you take your time to select a "hungry market" and you deliver information that market wants, you can easily sell, say, 2,000 DVD's. That would mean that at £39.95 a pop, just one DVD would make you £79,300. And, if you were to produce and market one new DVD a month, you would be looking to make £39.95 x 2,000 x 12 =

£958,800 Per Year!

That's almost a £1,000,000 (MILLION) a year, just producing and marketing low-cost, "home-made" DVD's!

But wait! It gets even better:

Because so far, we have only talked about marketing your "How To" DVD through specialist magazines. And whilst those specialist magazines provide you with an cheap and low-risk way to reach your target market,

They Only Represent A Minuscule Slice

Of The Overall Market Pie!

Another "marketing channel" is direct mail. And although direct mail is costlier and more high-risk than classified / display ads, if done right, it does open up a whole new market, and, can, swamp you with a torrent of money orders!

Another obvious "marketing channel" that is open to you is the Internet.

Remember, currently there are about 300 MILLION English-speaking people hooked up to the 'Net, and many of them are actively looking for information that will help them with their lives, and their businesses, which means,

You Now Have Access To A Global Market!

And, if you haven't got any money to advertise your "How-To" DVD, all is not lost. Because, you can send targeted media a simple press-release, and if the media picks it up and prints it, it is quite possible that you can get as much as a full-page "advertisement" in highly targeted media for zero cost – which means every DVD you sell from your press release is pure profit!

And those are just a few of the many ways to market and make money with your "How-To" DVD's.

Now, this all sounds pretty easy doesn't it? And it is, if, you have all the details.

First of all, you need to know what kind of equipment you need. It's not that the cost of the equipment itself is expensive, but, if you haven't got the right equipment it's extremely likely that you'll waste a lot of time, energy and money trying to produce your DVD. This isn't brain surgery, but if you don't start off on the "right foot" (with the planning process, setting up equipment, writing the script outline of your DVD, the right formatting etc.,) you will most likely fail and that would be a crying shame with all the money to be made.

Secondly, even though there is little cost to get started (£200 - £300), very little risk, and almost no work (a few hours to produce the DVD and then about 2 hours a week to keep your business running smoothly), you do have to know what to say in your "teaser" classified ad, and in your full marketing message (to all the people that request more information about your DVD).

Thirdly, once somebody has sent you money, you have to know exactly what information to send them and, exactly how to package it so you don't get hit for loads of refunds.

And then there are all the other "itzy-bitzy" things you need to know – like tracking response to your ads, tracking sales, keeping detailed records of your customers (this is extremely important), and generally making sure everything is taken care of in the right order.

Again, this isn't rocket science. But there's nothing on this amazing "money-making machine" in your local Waterstones bookstore, or taught at any "high brow" marketing or business school. You are going to have to learn it yourself.

Now, there's the hard (practically impossible) way of learning it – trying to "go it alone" and learning through the "school of hard knocks".

And then there's the easy way of learning it:

Which is to find somebody with proven experience in this business, and more importantly, willing to give you the real "low down" and enough expert guidance to have you up and running, banking money, in the fastest amount of time possible, without you having to pay their outrageous consulting fees.

But, where would you possibly find such a person?

Well, in truth, you probably won't.

But then again, you won't have to.

You see I have tracked down not just one, but three, independent, and wildly successful DVD producers who are willing to show you - in step-by-step detail – how they go about producing and marketing their own "How-To" DVD's.

These guys are amongst the "handful" of people now successfully exploiting the "How-To" DVD breakthrough, and are all earning fortunes from it.

And in case you're wondering, their names are:

Bill "Guerrilla" Myers: The first thing you'll notice about Bill is that he's very unassuming. He is the self-proclaimed "laziest man on the planet". But; he has figured out a way to make all the money he will ever need, "working" only when he wants to, from anywhere in the world – producing and marketing "How-To" DVD's on a shoe-string budget. His first "guerrilla" how-to video (this was before DVD's flooded the market) made him half a million dollars in under 18 months. And he did it all from the backwoods of Arkansas!

John Cooksey: John is real life example of an "ordinary" person making HUGE sums of money producing and marketing his own "How-To" DVD's. John made more money from his first how-to video (again, before the days of DVD's) than he had in a full year of "real" employment.

Tim Kerber: Tim is another real life example of how anyone can get started producing and marketing "How-To" DVD's. Tim sells thousands of DVD's a month and also specialises in selling "How-To" DVD's to the corporate market.

These guys recently revealed all their production, marketing and money-making secrets at a very special, very intense 2-day "closed door" workshop called "The DVD Workshop" held at the Hyatt Regency in Tampa, Florida.

Only an exclusive, pre-selected group of people were allowed to attend that workshop.

They travelled from all over America and flew in from all over the world to be at the event. And many more would have been there, but, due to the highly detailed, teaching intense and specialised money-making information that was given out, those that didn't act fast enough were left heartbroken because the organisers were forced to limit attendance to a small "core group" of attendees.

Although I cannot say for sure, it has been rumoured that many more people tried to weasel their way into the event by offering to pay double the hefty $895.00 attendance fee. Apparently, some even tried to bribe their way in. But, none of that worked
