Divide how much Gabon is generating by their population.
Compare it with ours. That is the mathematics. Our population is over eight times that of Gabon.
I'm speaking out because the 'power' in my place (both rural and urban' has improved considerably.
It is wrong for me to bite the fingers that are feeding me.

Maybe it's the mathematics you don't understand yourself or the english words used are very hard for you. Let me simplify his question. "why is Gabon generating more electricity than Nigeria?". Your answer should have nothing to do with population. We've got more money than Gabon so why can't we generate more electricity than them?

APC: What manner of change?

The APC has been consistent in saying that the PDP has ruled Nigeria for 16 disastrous years in which corruption, impunity, insurgency, armed robbery and several ills of society held sway. But a very close look at the APC, I am seeing

* Amaechi - 8yrs speaker; 7yrs governor under PDP,

* Atiku - 8yrs Vice president under PDP,

* Akume -8yrs governor under PDP,

* Bukola Saraki - 8yrs governor; 2yrs Senator under PDP,

* Timipre Sylver -4yrs governor under PDP,

* Audu Ogbe - 2yrs chairman of PDP,

* Aminu Masari - 4yrs Reps speaker under PDP,

* Chris Ngige - 3yrs governor under PDP,

* Kwankwaso - 7yrs governor, 3yrs Defense minister under PDP,

* El-Rufai - 4yrs FCT minister, 2yrs BPE chairman under PDP,

* Oyinlola, 7 and half years governor under PDP,

* Segun Oni, 3 and half years governor under PDP,

And to cap it all they went to OBJ begging, a man who they claimed spent 8 of the disastrous 16 yrs as the maximum ruler of Nigeria to come and lead them on a rescue mission.

It is now clearer that APC is a waste basket of the PDP, where the people who created and perpetuated the "16 Disastrous years" are now dumped.

Please Nigerians what is the change in this APC?
The difference in APC and PDP is the party ideology...All this listed people might have started in PDP before moving to APC but the party ideology and structure is quite different..Don't get me wrong am not saying they are clean neither am I saying they are not but PDP and APC are different

3. “The excesses of Boko Haram must stop. That is the decision of this present government now. It must stop, whatever it will cost the government, it must stop. The military intervention in the affected states is going on well. There is no human rights abuse and there is no collateral damage with regards to security of individuals. According to GEJ, epileptic power continues for the next four years, if/when re-elected as president. He got the four years he asked for, now what? Too bad.

We rely so much on electricity. Why blame DSTV or MTN when they are spending so much to power their equipments? Improve power generation/distribution and see a huge balance on the cost of living!

Thank you. These hypocrites have not deemed it necessary to tell the nation billions of naira each of APC governors donated to prosecute elections in Edo, Ondo, Ekiti and recently in Osun. Fashola and Tinubu, with all their noise could not provide common water for Lagosians in 15 years but they are blaming Fed govt for electricity. Only fools are fooled by Buhari and APC.

Foul! Buhari is a member of the national security council. Yet he refused to attend the meetings to contribute to national security issues on selfish grounds since 2011. If he loves Nigeria and Nigerians , he would have attended security meetings to make input. His refusal to attend security meetings is a breach of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. Buhari definitely has no respect for the constitution of Nigeria. He is only making noise to achieve selfish objective.

It is easier said than done. If it was APC that got that amount of donation would they invest it in the power sector? It is always easy in theory.

By the way, the problem with the power sector is more than lack of funds. It's not just about pumping in funds.
That has been the mistake of the past administrations.
One should not expect the power project to be successful when we've got people who benefit from the dysfunction. The generator importers and fuel dealers surely have a hand in the sabotage of the efforts put into fixing the power situation.

I thought there's a position called the PRESIDENT AND COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE ARMED FORCES. ..

I am a blogger, I depend on electricity for as much as 18 hours in a day. That I get by spending 468k per year on fuel.

And as for Gabon, you don't get it do you? Okay, for explanation sake ( as I don't have the figures in Gabon) let's use SA as a case study.

SA has a population of 50m people, and they generate 40k MW. That's x10 more than we generate. If as you will agree with me, we have more resources than SA, why do we not generate more power than them? The discussion is not whether the 40k MW is enough for our 160m population, the discussion is why a smaller country generates more than we do.
Do u think SA started generating that 4Ok MW in a day or even in 10yrs? Instead of blaming the present administration, why not ask what the previous administration did about the problem... How many MW was generated b4? The problem of power started during babangida regime

Anyone still looking up to this government for any hope is still deluded. I thought they said this country is indebted? Players in the oil and gas sector gave N5bn in the face of the international fall in oil price? That money could even build a refinery. When I see sane people supporting GEJ's re-election, I know they are either sentimental christains, or those benefitting from this mess we're in.
The truth is this nation as a whole is full of sentimental beings and hypocrites, even those in Buhari's camp are worse off, the man may have a clear vision to right some wrongs in this country, but when you look at those he is dinning with, you will just give up hope, talk of Tinubu and co. And its the same same problem that GEJ is facing, being surrounded by hypocites and greedy cabals. Any hope for this country? Only God knowsundecided
