eyamensah: The problem is that thanks to our oil dependency.....the value of the naira has never ever been stable....especially as we are not a manufacturing economy. If we manufactured a lot of goods domestically and exported them for profit....we would earn enough forex to keep our naira strong. Because we use our oyel money to import....we lose forex....and as such lose the means to back up our currency in hard times. |
