Christmas Eve Tragedy: Family Of Five Crushed To Death In Osun by Vikkie14: 12:18am On Dec 26, 2014 |
I have this information but it wont be good if am sharing BAD NEWS on Christmas Day. This is really graphic. It was on 24th Dec.(just on wednesday) that this accident happen. It was around 4pm when the family of five: Father, mother, a not less than 6months old Baby, and 2 other children were ALL crushed and charred to death in a ghastly accident involving a Trailer and an ash-coloured golf car along Iwo- Ibadan road in Iwo, Osun state. The trailer which was fully loaded with bag of rices was coming from Ibadan tail end of the road and going to Iwo while the golf car was coming from Lautech,(osogbo or ogbomoso) and heading to Ibadan for Christmas. There was this place one would get to before entering or leaving Iwo, it's called "Odo-Oba"(river Oba), that's where the Police normally site their "Stop and Search". The Police had stop this golf car and others behind him(coming from Iwo) and also stop those coming from Ibadan. So, there were a LONG QUEUE of vehicles waiting to be passed. The trailer on sighting the queue tried to applied the brake but the break isn't working anylonger. He tried his best not to hit those vehicles on queue as that would have caused serious havoc to every car on queue, so he swerve to the other lane to avoid collision. It was at the same time the Golf car was "released" to go, on seeing the oncoming trailer, the car swerve off the road and try mounting a small high rise ground to avoid collision but it was the same place the trailer is heading to. They collide and the trailer crushed the car and its occupant to death. As if that's not enough, the trailer finally fell on the car completely. People tried to help but there's little they could do as heavy machines are needed to pull the wrecked car under the trailer out before any rescue could be made. IT WAS ALL THE FAULT OF THE POLICE AT THE CHECKING POINT. Had it been they aint there, that accident wont have happened. For what? Just for #20 or #50, they caused the Wiping-out of a WHOLE FAMILY. From 4pm that the accident occured, it was around 8pm that they were able to pullout the car.Ah! Come see tragedy! Come see the Baby at the mother chest, the father was completely charred(the head has burst), the girl sitting behind the driver(her dad) all her intestine were out(completely pulverised and dis-membered), ah! What a tragedy! But you wont believe me that NOTHING happen to the fowl behind the boot of the car. One of the survivor had an arm and leg completely "condemned". They have to hack and pieces the whole car down before the "remains"(feets, arms, severed heads, busted and charred and mangled bodies) could be picked. IT WAS REALLY A TRAGEDY ON CHRISTMAS EVE. I couldnt eat, i was so emotionally deranged/derailed. It's something very tragic. I didnt even remember to snap pictures cox am not okay that time. After that, the charred car was towed to the Police station with hundreds of cars and motorcycles escorting it and would have burned the Police Station if not that New Year is fast approaching and they dont want to die if problem ensue with the Police. All the pictures am going to upload are those i took the second day(25th which is today) after the car has been towed away. You will the car tire, spilled blood mingled with rice, the car stereo, the trailer. As soon as i got the pics of that day, i will upload in another thread. Police Check Point needs to be Stop to avert ugly things like this. Disclaimer: am a witness
