The family of Dr. Akintayo Oguntuase, Head of
Pediatrics at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, Ondo
State, who was found dead in his clinic in Akure,
after it was razed by a mysterious fire in the eve of
Christmas, has said the medical practitioner was
murdered in cold blood. Universal Medical Clinic was in flames in the
midnight of December 24, when residents of
Araromi area of the city were in a festive mood and
by the time the billows of fire and smoke faded out
in the morning of December 25, the proprietor,
Oguntuase, was found burnt and mutilated. While the police in Ondo are still busy examining
the different theories and leads to unraveling the
cause of the fire, the deceased’s family has
concluded that the medical practitioner was killed
by assassins and burnt to give a semblance of a
fire accident. Otunba Ben Oguntuase, the elder brother of
deceased, in a statement made available to our
correspondent on Friday, said, “Dr. David Akintayo
Oguntuase, a Consultant Pediatrician and Head of
Pediatrics at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, was
brutally murdered by assassins/arsonists, leaving behind a most gory sight.” He said a thorough examination of the remains of
the hospital and the site of the incident revealed
trails left behind by the murderers and how they
accomplished the dastardly act. “Evidently, they shot him in the main clinic area and
carried his body to the room in the back area
where the left him face down. Not done, they
severed his hands and legs before proceeding to
douse the body with petrol. “The rest of the building on the inside was
sprinkled with petrol before it was all set ablaze. It
obviously was an inferno that raged leading the
building to implode as the roof caved inward,” the
senior Oguntuase stated. He noted that the fire did not affect other buildings
around, suggesting that it was professionally
plotted and executed. Explaining the premises on which his theory was
based, Ben Oguntuase said the walls of the clinic
were stained with blood, showing that the slain
medical practitioner was attacked and dragged to
the place where he was eventually burnt. The Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, Mr.
Wole Ogodo, said although the command had yet
to get a full briefing on the development, the family
would be required to come up with the leads and

He is accused of embezzling 100 million naira meant for staff training and medical equipment.
Dr Oguntauase was acting as CMD prior to appointment of Omotosho. Most people thought Dr Oguntause will be appointed but we all know how Nigerian system of God fatherism works. Dr Omotosho was appointed directly from Abuja with the help of Owo ruling Monarch King DVF Olateru-Olagbegi.
Dr Oguntause problems started when the federal budget allocated for staff training, purchase of CT scans and other medical equipment went missing and EFCC was alerted. The EFCC team came to arrest Dr Omotosho but he escaped through the morgue section of the hospital and jumped over the fence. The administrative manager, Mr Lagundoye and public Relations Officer [PRO], Mr. Yusuf Olarewaju with the rest of the senior management team were not so happy with Dr Oguntause because they believe he was the only senior member of the team that was not in support of their embezzlement depriving the hospital and reduction of salaries paid to junior staffs.
They knew he will spill the beans TO EFCC. On December 15, Lagos State High Court judge Lawal-Akapo issued a bench warrant against the doctor.He ordered the EFCC to produce him on January 26, 2015 to come and take his plea. Dr Omotosho was arrested three days before xmas day. Dr Oguntause was going to take over as acting while Dr Omotosho is suspended from office.
On xmas day 25th Dec 2014,Dr Oguntuase was killed and burnt beyond recongnition in his clinic at Akure .

Remember the statement of andrew azazi when he said pdp is boko haram. He died few days after that statement. When pdp makes claims to buhari and others as responsible for their wores i just laugh. They compare nigeria case to syria, egypt, afghanistan etc. But in reality our case is quite different. The above countries are constitutionally recognised as islamic nations. And as such we do know the different sects exist in islam the shites (ordinary muslims) and extremists(sharia) it is reasonable to see a clash between both sect for supremacy because naturally islam is recognised and imbedded in their constitution. Their is bond to be a fight as to which sect should be superior to the other. In other islamic states where you find no clash, it is obviously so because the extremists have not decided to want to claim superiority. In nigeria we are not suppose to be talking about islamists because first it is alien to us. Nigeria is constitutionally a free secular country for all, no religion is endorsed over the other. In the 36 states the constitution didnt endorse any religion as lord over the other. During obasanjo tenure PDP tenure, because obj was seeking cheap popularity among the north, he resolved to use the tool of religion to get it. Sharia was given in islam and is believed to be the core and peak of islam, but it remains and has to be implemented to be practised. Obj and pdp aided by MUAZU(PDP current chairman) and sherima implemented sharia in full. That breed monsters and brought the believe in those who wanted to pratice sharia to the core to believe it can be approved for them nationwide and in all northern states. That is what boko haram is agitating for today and they belief they can force their beliefs to be accepted too. Pdp and their president were looking for cheap popularity for election and didnt care about the consequences it would take in the future
