jreyez: As I always say, count your drum snares. 4 drum snares make 1 bar so aim to finish your end rhymes on the 4th drum snare. Thís should prevent any fall offs in flow. Snoop Dogg showed best the process of counting bars: 1 to the 2 to the 3 to the 4/ Snoop Döggy Dog and Dr Dre is at the door/ Your 1,2,3,4 makes your bar. End all your rhymes on the 4. 1,2,3,4/ 1,2,3,4/ Start this from 5:15 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFcml2J5ElE One you follow thís pattern, natural progression should take it's course. Also listen to emcees who use thís repetitive formulaic pattern like AZ, Kool G Rap, Masta Ace etc. When you've mastered that, you can start in-rhymes. With in-rhymes you could look for the 2nd and 8th drum snare. 1,2/ 3,4/ 5,6/ 7,8/ I'm sleek with the rhymes/ so round of applause/ You'll hear the sound of the fours/ or I'm squeezing the nine/ That's a 2,8 combo.
