A soldier escaped death by the whiskers at a Friday mosque in Nasarawa ward in Yola after he was mistaken by worshippers to be a suicide bomber.‬

‪An eyewitness who confirmed the incident said that  the soldier arrived the mosque during Friday congregation  and refused to show the content of his bag when he was asked to do so by security guards cordoning off the mosque due to the insecurity bedevilling the state..‬

‪He said the security guards were not only checking cars but also the content of any suspected item brought to the mosque during worship.‬

‪Bomb attacks on mosques, churches and markets have  killed hundreds of people in the northern part of the country hence nobody is exempted from being checked when they arrived the mosque or a church.

‪ Residents said It took the intervention of vigilante members who whisked the soldier to Dubeli Police Station ‎where he was protected by the police, saying  people were apprehensive because of recent bomb blasts in some states.

I don't blame them....that is what our country has become! State of emergency... May God help Us..btw am I the only one who sang songs of praises to God in appreciation of the fact that Boko have not struck this xmas period.. God be Praised!!

So much paranoia now, I pray they don't end up lynching an innocent person
