Yorubas And Igbos Should Stop This!!! by chima080: 5:17pm On Dec 29, 2014
Have you noticed the love and hate relationship between igbos and yoruba have never lead to any clashes. Am i right?.

Heres my opinion.

It's so simple. we keep ranting about division Dont you know if we divide, the respect we have in africa is gone, Nigeria is a continent (pun intended) yet we live in peace with northeast an execption. This makes other country observe and study us. America knows that Nigeria is important to africa's developmant. we are rich in oil and gas. most analyst refer to nigeria as a gas endowed country with proven reserves of 180 trillion and crude oil at 37.2 billion barrels. The gulf of guinea is a hot centre for most big oil companies, because of the potential reserve of 30 billion barrels.it is estimated that unproven reserves of gas is more than 500 trillion cubic metres at most 600 trillion. the anambra basin also has 2 billion barrels with commercial quantities of gas, Same with the chad basin. The gas reserves is estimated to last for 96 yrs, the oil is expected to last for 45 yrs with more reserves being explored. the under development of the gas industry shows the possibilities of more gas reserves. Forget about the shale boom in United states, Forget the crude oil price crash, it will bounce back, currently,The over supply in the market will chase most shale miners away because their operational cost is above crude oil price, So to avoid bankruptcy, they will close up. Once the oil price is up i believe by then we would have made certain policies to diversify from oil and increase our production capacity in the oil and gas sector.

Nigeria has prospects, which is why i believe so much in Nigeria, I am a pround Nigerian where ever i go. Please let's quit this tribalistic nonsense, it will not help us in any way. We have one of the largest population of youths in the world which is an asset for any country that desires growth. Industralization is kicking in nigeria, the industries of the east and west, north and south are springing up. the railways are alive with more destinations on the way. New cities ar being built, Eko atlantic, Cetenary city, New infrastructural developments are at its peak in nigeria eg: World trade center in Abuja, the convention center in calabar, east west road, millenium tower in abuja to mention a few. The vehicle manufactures are back, We even have our own car manufacturing company. There are so much changes in nigeria that is too much to mention. Are these not good reason for some ignorant nigerian to quit their ugly rants about division? .As for me it's an empty threat. Yes! we are too attached to each other to divide. the younger generations are wiser and educated. The new generation nigerians aren't concerned about tribal differences. if you are in doubt compare the inter-tribal marriage of the 60's to now. it's increasing. Compare the populations in abuja, lagos, kano alone, you will every ethnic group represented in these states. i'm an igbo guy and most of my friends are mixed yorubas, igbos, efik , hausas. I dated mostly yoruba girls. i truly love my counrty and it will be a shame if we fail. Those who are in support of division should see the other side of it, our population is our strenght, the oil/gas is our strength, Agricuture is our strenght, our mineral resources is our strenght, our economic prowress is our strenght. There are so many things i can't even mention. I stay in South africa, Nigerians are pretty known to be rich and smart in south africa and even Europe and U.S. we are truely blessed. everywhere we go, we get distinguised immediately , our accent is one of the sexiet in the world according to an article i read some months back , sometimes i'm asked why nigerians are so rich and i tell them its God and hard work but really it is. We need to make extra effort and make this nation an envy and example to other nation, i choose the word envy because it takes such beauty and diversity to make any country envy and nigeria is richly endowed.

And to add, I really hate the way we hurl curses at each other in nairaland but end up laughing with ourselfs when we see. i believe that most of the Nlders who post tribal B.S are usually broke,so they end up idle, as u know an idle mind is the devil's workshop. My opinion!... i urge my igbo brothers to forgive their fellow nigerians, its obvious the aftermath of the civl war has dented the relationship between igbos and other Nigerians. they are marginalized and hated yet they are found virtually everywhere making giant strides and investing, Better known as the wondering jews. That being said, I do not intend to glorify one ethnic group over the other, every ethnic group (collectively, Nigerians) has made big contributions to make nigeria what it is today. I believe we are so in love with ourselves to divide.

Here are some old prophesies for nigeria.

At the Holy Ghost Convention (1983) in Ilorin, (Kwara State), The Lord said “I will endow your men and women with three specific anointings in these last days:Nigeria shall fulfil my counsel for the black race, the race that has been despised and enslaved. I will show forth my glory on the despised and enslaved.

An unusual anointing to minister my word in power.
An unusual anointing for research and discovery in science and technology.
An anointing for making money—business breakthroughs. Everything you do, I shall cause it to prosper.

The way America is held in high esteem that every man in the world desires to go there, so shall I make Nigeria. No black man would like to die without visiting Nigeria to see my wonders. (Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has confirmed and emphasized this prophecy times without number).

There was a prophecy in form of a vision through the late Pa S.G. Elton of Ilesha, God showed him a vision in which he saw a great revival engulfing the whole Nigeria, starting from the southern part of the nation and spreading to all other parts.

Reinhard Bonnke said during one of his crusades in Nigeria, “Watch out for the country calledNigeria, she will teach America true Christianity”

God said in a meeting that in His appointed time, “He would raise His Josephs and Daniels who would know how to build, plant and preserve and conserve and administer in Nigeria”.

1983 Brakenhurst Conference Center, Limuru, Kenya. The event here was at the Sharing of Ministries Abroad (SOMA) Evangelical Conference, which attracted several evangelical Bishops and church leaders from all over the world...“Africa, I can see the face of Jesus on you, His glory and His radiance. Thus saith the Lord to Africa, though you have been called dark up till now, you shall be called dark no longer. For out of you shall come great light that shall shine to the uttermost parts of the earth”

1983 At the first National Convention of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI) Held at Hotel Presidential in Port Harcourt. A visiting delegate from New Mexico, USA spoke about visions of black men that God was giving him while he was in his home country. When he asked about who the black men were, the Lord then explained to him that these black men were Nigerians. He had never visited Nigeria before and the Lord told him he will soon take him there because the nation Nigeria was a nation he planned to use in revival. He then spoke on in prophecy: “Thus saith the Lord, Nigeria and Nigerian Christians will be used by the Lord to preach the gospel in the market places of the world in these last days.”

Pastor S.G. Elton spoke prophetically in this meeting concerning two key African nations, saying that Africa is like a gun pointed down. Its turret and muzzle is South Africa. Its trigger is Nigeria. He said the days will come when Apartheid (then at its peak in South Africa) will be removed from South Africa. In those days, he said the Trigger of the Gun of Africa (Nigeria) would begin to fire for God's purposes.
Robert Liardon: In this year 1983 also, spoke about a vision he received of the Lord, he saw Jesus weeping over the African continent. In this vision, he said he saw as the tears of the Lord dropped on Africa, three lights sprang up from three locations in Africa: the little nation of Swaziland in Southern Africa, the East African nation of Uganda, and also from the West African nation of Nigeria. He said as the Lord continued to weep over the continent, these three lights fused into one mighty light that flooded the entire African continent.

1984 - Ibadan Prayer Conference CSSM - As we prayed here at a large gathering of many campuses at the Ibadan Polytechnic, the Lord spoke again during a very deep session of prayers while most of us were on our face on the floor. The Lord spoke in prophecy saying: “My Church in this nation is my hope for the continent of Africa”

1998 - ICC Nigeria National Conference: Rohan Smith, a white American delegate to the Nigerian National Conference of the International Christian Chambers of Commerce held at the Excellence Hotels Ikeja, in 1998 had a remarkable vision, which he stated as below:

“While I was praying at the end of Emeka's message, I saw a vision of a local African market place. It was looking dinghy, dirty and filthy.
Then the vision changed. I saw the market transformed into a new environment. Gold, diamond and precious stones of various types were stacked neatly and well arranged on a table. I saw an oil font springing up from the table. I also saw in this new market environment, neatly dressed people in three distinct groups: Men, Boys and Babies (Little children).
Then I saw trucks full of gold bars moving across the borders of the countries of Africa. I saw a blood stream flowing ahead of the trucks into villages into which the trucks were coming. As the blood stream entered into the villages, it exploded into white light which enveloped the villages”
Thus says the Lord, “There is a wave of prosperity coming from the Lord into Africa. The objective is for the salvation of the peoples of Africa. Idolatry will be overthrown in Africa as part of this move. Beware however that you do not replace Idolatry with materialism when the release of the wealth comes”

2002 - God's Word to Nigeria - Cindy Jacobs of United States

The Lord says to Nigeria, “I have given you a missionary spirit and I am surely going to change the nations of the earth through you. But now I will give you the anointing to change your nation. The Lord says I am going to begin to unravel the corrupt system in Nigeria that men will say it is impossible, but I say with God all things are possible. There is going to be a revival in the universities and this revival will be of a large magnitude, that the revival in the universities will affect the secondary schools and primary schools. And God will change Nigeria to the next generation. And the Lord says the unity of the leaders is coming. It's going to uproot and dethrone the occult, for I am going to overthrow the occult spirit. And I am going to use Nigerians to heal the rest of Africa, because what happens in Nigeria will affect the whole continent.

The Lord says - I'm going to use the Nigerians in Russia. There will be many churches planted in Russia. The Lord says I'm going to use your nation. I'm going to use you in the Middle East. God says I'm getting ready to change many things.
I'm getting ready to expose the occult in the highest level. In next few months, I'm going to begin to tear it down and I'm going to make it shift and there will be a day when violence shall no longer be heard of in the streets of Nigeria. And it will be one of the safest nations on the face of the earth; says the Lord God.

(Cindy Jacobs is an American intercessor and a prophetess. She gave this word at a global prayer conference in Guatemala, in year 2002).

I hope we change our attitude and make Gods plan for nigeria prevail.

I Wish every nairalander merry christmas and happy new year.
