Presently in Lagos the 1 phase(single phase) is N39k+ but just get 45k for the total package because u will be ask to pay for other things(like form, stamp etc). I don't know how much is 3phase presently

Single Phase connection has 2wires which is live and neutral and 3phase connection has 4wires which is RED PHASE, YELLOW PHASE, BLUE PHASE and the Neutral wire. For the size of the building mentioned above I believe 3phase connection should be considered.

Similarly consider single-phase as a single lane highway and three-phase as a multilane highway. There is a limit to the load that a single phase can handle and typically that number is set to 12 kW (or 12000watts. So if the total sum of wattage of all the appliances that you are running at a time is more than 12 kW, then you need a three-phase connection. And you can get over 12kW if you have 6numbers of 1.5HP ACs and water heaters all running together. If the load is less than 12kW, then a single-phase connection can easily handle it.

Note: A lot of people have misconception that Air Conditioners require three-phase connection. Which actually is not true because all ACs have motors designed to run on single-phase. Only if you have more than 5AC's that are all in use together you may need a three-phase connection.

Last time I checked the 3phase is 55k cost me an extra 35k to get connected. I did not know at the time that it was eegunje l was told processing fee. 10k extra dhould sort it out just try to locate the main issuing office for your area. For lekki it's around agungi area.

form is free. Apparently some with a special licence has to sign the form and that cost between 5-10k. I am about to start processing another lot.

I believe the ideal meter should be a three phase. Could someone please let me know what such a meter would cost and also provide me with any advise on the best line of action.

Do you want to connect all 6 flats to one meter.
I believe each flat should have its own single phase meter. At least there won't be arguments about payment of bills
