Fellywood: Do I look like your mate? Whenever these Agents of Corruption run out of ideas, they will start asking silly questions. We have a very corrupt leadership under Jonathan and every Nigerian is asking for a better leadership, you are here insulting our sensibilities. Vote out Jonathan before it becomes irredeemable. 1 Like |

MUST READ FOR ALL NIGERIANS: A NIGERIAN YOUTH WRITES A LETTER TO BUHARI Posted by Charles Kalu Gen.Muhammadu Buhari. Sir, let us examine your service records. I consider your generation a very privileged one, indeed. In 1975 at the age of 33, you were appointed the Military Governor of the North-Eastern State, present day Borno & Yobe states. In 1976 at the age of 34 you became the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources. In 1978 at the age of 36 you became the Chairman of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Today the reverse is the case. Most Nigerians at age of 35 are still unemployed and still living with parents. Many are still not married. During your time you were already Governor at this age. One major reason for this unfortunate turn of events is that many elders like you have refused to voluntarily handover the baton to the next generation. Life should be a relay race where one runs his race and hands over to the next. In Nigeria many elders like you have run their races and are still holding on tenaciously to the baton. But Sir, I have an important question here for you. The question is simple, MUST YOU SERVE NIGERIA AS A PRESIDENT ONLY? IS THERE NO OTHER CAPACITY YOU CAN SERVE US EXCEPT THE PRESIDENCY? It is very erroneous to imagine that you can only serve Nigeria only in one capacity. During the regime of late General Sani Abacha, you accepted the appointment to serve as the Chairman of the then Petroleum Trust Fund PTF. The general opinion was that you served faithfully in this capacity. Well done Sir! But you never asked Abacha to vacate office for you as your former subordinate in the army. Never! In fact that would have been a dangerous move, if not suicidal. Rather you served faithfully under your former junior in the army. Sir, imagine if you take on another job like the Chairman of EFCC or ICPC or NDLEA. Nigerians actually need you to serve in one of these capacities much more than they need you in the Presidency. Mere mentioning your name as Chairman of EFCC would drive many corrupt men underground. But you wouldn’t . Either the Presidency or nothing. When are you going to handover to the next person? It is either you do it voluntarily or risk disgrace at the polls. In 1983 at the age of 41, you became the Head of State. Most Nigerians in my age have not had the opportunity to serve, but we still remain committed to the Nigerian project. You should rather be graceful to God and to Nigerians for the numerous opportunities that have come your way to serve Nigerians. Others are begging for just one opportunity to serve. Sir, you have to accept the stark reality on ground that you have served your time already. That is life for you. You run the race, you handover the baton for others to run, you cannot hold on to the baton more than is necessary. As a former head of State you are already a member of the Council of State Meeting. You have every avenue to channel your views across. You don’t necessarily have to be in a frontline role, you can serve in an advisory capacity. That is still service. In conclusion, let me state that the greatest beneficiary should you emerge candidate of the APC would be President Jonathan. It is crystal clear that you cannot defeat President Jonathan in a free, fair and credible election, even in Katsina State. Sentiments aside, Jonathan would cruise to a landslide victory should you emerge candidate of the APC. In fact many political analysts believe that President Jonathan wants you to emerge as the APC flag bearer in order to secure a cheap victory. In fairness to you, any of your Children would pose a serious challenge to Jonathan more than yourself. I do not see Nigerians electing a 72 year old former Head of state to lead us in this Digital era. With due respect to you Sir, you belong to the Analogue age and therefore, will not fit in as president in this digital era. This is the blunt truth. Please do not enter the Guinness book of world records on a negative note. Losing four consecutive Presidential election would not augur well for your reputation. It is in your best interest to assume your position as an elder statesman and allow others to serve. Nigeria does not belong to you alone. It belongs to us all. copy and post on your wall let it go round, is time we youth tell our self the truth |

anonimi: hahahahahaha- lost soul, imagine thanking his handlers for doing or carrying out their responsibility, should the students have protested before they provided borehole water? moreso, the school in question is not a federal school- it is a state owned school, its not the responsibility of the federal government - its the responsibility of the state government, which means they are trying to bribe innocent young students, with what should in the first place, be the role of the government and their responsibility, well breeze don blow fowl yansh don open- and we are not interested in the thanking them/him for the right of the students - they should have channeled the money through the state government instead of heating the polity 1 Like |

agabusta: Is a minister empowered by the constitution to act on behalf of the President or not? If he oversees the ministry, he can send a directive becausse he represents the President in that capacity. Though I do not buy the Interim Govt claim but one can ask why such a thought crossed his mind if not because the Campaign Director of APC and APC chieftain (Sen Bola Tinubu) made an assertion to form a parallel government. During the Osun state Governor's Inauguration, Tinubu ask Osun indigenes and other Nigerians to get their local guns, Cutlasses and Voodoos ready because it will be fire for fire. You can imagine if PDP by the next day also called on their supporters to get ready and the rest will be history and Chaos. |

Are u aware that after 2 days of receiving d donation, GEJ has approved increase in PHCN tariff? Does it mean d so called donation to GEJ was actually an investment ROI (return on investment) to be born by the ordinary masses Another reason to vote for Change!!! 1 Like |

anonimi:Thank you, for your high level of decorum in the face of the obvious- but in all honesty - it is painful when a young man would see what is his right from government in respect of the tier and say thank you- or use it to praise them - like fashola would say "I am just doing the job you elected me to do" my point exactly plus the fact that it is an infringement of the powers of the federal government to go into a state owned university and give money as a federal government, when ideally it should be in the state governments budget, which I believe it! As a federal government I expect them to do it under the etf project and stop abrogating responsibilities that is not theirs to themselves, while making the state government looking inefficient and incompetent since they don't have the funds available to the federal government- can't you seem to draw a parallel between this action and that of the issue of chieftancy titles? Just saying 1 Like |
Re: Obasanjo, Buhari Planning Interim Govt —FG by anonimi: 9:02pm On Dec 30, 2014 |
olajide8: The Nasarawa (in this case) state government was inefficient and incompetent. They receive monthly allocation from the Federation Accounts based on Niger Delta oil revenue and are supposed to provide TAP water all over the state. They have not done that. I am sure the states receive ETF funds as and when due, otherwise they have SINators and representaTHIEVES from the state to complain through as well as the Supreme court to drag the federal government, not so Jonathan in his magnanimity bailed out the state government in this specific case. That is COMMENDABLE!!! |
Re: Obasanjo, Buhari Planning Interim Govt —FG by olajide8(m): 9:34pm On Dec 30, 2014 |
anonimi: You are failing to see the obvious - the federal govt is owing ministry salaries and the same federal government has cut considerably allocations going to the states- nasarawa state happens to be amongst the states with the only source of income being the dependence on the federal allocation- apart from this same present government that has started levying-collecting tenament rate along the abuja - keffi corridor which is the only source of income* for the state- they also don't have any factory because it is just recently they got connected to the national grid- this same state administration did that feat for them- they only had a substandard polytechnic - if not for the state government that has turned the same university premises into a small construction yard building hostels for the students- so the state government is working and it is doing so based on what is available to it, and looking at it critically - is it only boreholes and tap water that the state government should provide? What of education, what of roads, and enabling industrialization, so think about it again, have you seen the state government breakdown? I have because, like I use to say prior to me returning back to paid employment I was into contracting going to jos-nasarawa-kogi- niger- to hustle for contracts and vendorship, both with government. And private organisations, and before you take a ride in any direction you have to read the state budget to know what you are going for? Now the states don't receive ETF funds government and private organisation contribute to it, while the universities have been having problems assessing the funds because the bar has been to high for them to scale- now it's not the responsibility of senators to apportion the projects only to over see them* and specifically federal government projects that's why they would say they are doing oversight- and it's for the state legislators and not the federal senators* it's is not a commendable effort because it's meant to cause disaffection and distablize the efforts of the state government- haven't you heard of a minister going to give N20m to victims of a burnt market in bauchi "today" what of the people of bakassi that are selling themselves because government have not provided alternative sources of sustenance for them- see if you fail to look at all these things and choose to preach like a one verse pastor - you may not enter the kingdom of God O! 1 Like |
