Rate hike will be data dependent – BOE’s Carney

06 August 2015, 15:02

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The Bank of England governor Mark Carney, in his press conference speech on Thursday, said the timing of the rate hike is appearing closer, but the decision to raise rates is data dependent.

Key Quotes

“Likely timing of the first rate rise is drawing closer, but will be data dependent.”

“UK exports to be held back by strength of Sterling, risk to activity from the Eurozone and China.”

“No evidence of a deflationary mindset. Private domestic demand robust and expected to remain so on account of boost in income due to lower energy prices and job gains.”

“The most striking development in the UK over the past year is fall in CPI - due to food and energy.”

Going through forexfactory and found two striking explorers...

http://www.forexfactory.com/dforexangel - This one is some badass EA. Imagine making 3,000 pips in less than 6 days with 98% accuracy!

http://www.forexfactory.com/bidemi12 - This one is a sad one.. It is owned by an old timer here that came back recently to tear up the house a bit before disappearing.

Go through them and think. What you learn from them is up to you.

Hmmm, from the little I think I know, whatever can give 3000pips in 6days can loose same in the blink of an eye. Just saying. . . .

FOREXMART:

first things first, is it a .ex4 file or .mq4 file? if it's an mq4 file then it's an old indicator and your mt4 is build 600 so it finds it hard to compile it. Solution: go to the folder, right click and click "open with" in the options select the old meta editor that has an exclamation mark. once it opens don't do anything to the code, just click "compile" now you will have an ex4 and mq4. Copy em back into the MQL4-Indicators folder in your mt4(access that through file-open data folder). If it's an indicator and not an ea or script it will work.
Thanks, It is mq4. I am following the steps now

Here is an excerpt from the press release

''For foreign currency cash lodgments made prior to the date of this circular, the account holder has the option to either withdraw his or her foreign currency cash or the Naira equivalent. For the avoidance of doubt, only wire transfers to and from Domiciliary Accounts are henceforth permissible''

Haven't made any withdrawals since the press release, but what I make of it is, its either you get your dollar out or its naira equivalent. (if you withdraw via bank wire) remember the rationale behind it is excess dollars with the banks which is really worthless to them is cbn is not accepting it from them as readily as they did in time past. hence they are trying to reduce the worthless paper in their vaults.

Deposits?
Havent done this in a while but I think there should be a window if you ll be wiring out judging by this excerpt from same press release

''The CBN advises individuals that wish to source foreign currency for eligible and legitimate purposes such as BTA, PTA medical, mortgage, school fees, goods etc. to do so through recognized channels with the use of Form ‘A’ for “invisible” and Form ‘M’ for “visible” transactions.''

But you cant just go and deposit dollar for storage as a form of savings(polithievesians, yahoo boys), shocked RENT (fake lekki and some abuja landlords) cool tongue

All of these are subject to verification from your bank, but there is ALWAYS a LEGITIMATE way around these things, we are not fraudsters or involved in shady deals but professionals

Just my take anyway

ForexTime has been excellent for me so far, with offices in Lagos and Abuja.

I would give them 100% but I'll leave it at 95% reliability because my withdrawal to debit card since last Friday still has not showed up.
