Now you are being silly.

Earthquakes will happen is NOT a prophesy!

Is the Sun will rise tomorrow a prophesy? If so everybody is a prophet.

Are you so desperate? Does it upset you so much?

Now you are really being so worse than a cretin. You sure are the desperate one here as you keep on oozing hurt and jealousy in your statements.

How does that crap you've been writing mean the same as "Pray against MASSIVE earthquakes"? Or are you this much of a slowpoke?

Now i see why you keep on swaying in and out and just couldn't muster up anything coherent to give as an answer to a simple question......DAFTNESS!

Very succinctly put. I appreciate your honesty.
However, you do see the potential for disaster in your admission, don't you? Anyone with enough "faith" can claim to be saved by the God in which they believe. This is exactly what Muslims and Hindus are doing. They really have faith just like you do.
For those of us who require that our faith be accompanied by materials, like the apostle Thomas did in the bible, all of these different Gods are themselves evidence of the fact that the one true God isn't talking to anyone. That's if there's such a thing as one true God.
Different holy books are in circulation today, each of them claiming to provide an inalterable version of what God wants us to do. Combine that with the fact that no one alive today has been able to demonstrate his or her contact with the entity called God.
There's only one conclusion for me. But I do see your point of believing the thing through faith. It is a dangerous precedent, IMO. But to each his own.

It is the ONLY precedent! There exist NO material proofs (or disproofs).

I don't know about Hindu, Muslim etc but for a Christian it is as the Bible says "By faith ALONE".

If there is a material proof then faith is not needed, indeed is meaningless.

I once said the same like you just said but alas, I was shocked to realise RCCG is worst than I thought when I started studying the word by myself and flushed out all religious, man-made and traditional interpretation out of my system. You can accept whatever when you're and infant but when you become a son\daughter, you're to dig things out by yourself by the Spirit. Give yourself time in the word and give yourself to studying of the word and prayer this year and see how much the Spirit will show you about RCCG and their doctrines of men. Be like the Bereans and you will be glad you did. If not for anything, let this be your goal\project this year especially book of romans and hebrews. You're blessed!!!
Hmmmmmm....maybe I would.

Moses was a Holy man and in Gods favour!

The false prophets are NOT in the slightest Holy. They worship MAMMON! They fool people for money and self aggrandisement.

It is offensive to compare these charlatans (I hesitate to call them evil - let us be kind and simply say they are misguided) to proper men of God.

Please stop shying away from the question. Did Moses, Isaiah and co tell you the date Christ who they prophesied to come was to be born?

Not "maybe" my sister. Give yourself a dedicated goal and see what God will reveal to you in His word. Don't let fame and influence of a church guide your interpretation but the Spirit and also, use bible concordance to understand words as used in context. Perhaps, you will thank God I said this to you at the beginning of the year. Specifically, I suggest book of romans & hebrews. Those two will at least make you question some things that RCCG preach and teaches. Good luck sister!!!

The 'prophesies' are no specific and so are NOT prophesies! Proof enough to an intelligent person.

You don't understand burden of proof or logic.

Take you own example. You say an egg is oval you prove it by showing the egg and behold we see it is!

If you say it is a cube and I say you lie then YOU must still prove it is a cube. You show it and behold we see the lie.

The original assertion is the one requiring proof. The so called prophesies are the original statement and so it is they that must be proven.

IF I had agreed with these prophesies then the burden of proof is still to prove the prophesy true.

SIMPLE isn't it? (Or are you still confused).

Seriously though I realise that this is a ploy to divert from the fact that the so called prophesies are nonsense. I spend a LOT of time in Nigeria and its education system (although it does have some problems) is NOT so bad nor are you so stupid and ignorant that you cannot see he point.

You keep on hammering "Burden of proof"; you clearly don't even know what that implies still. Burden of proof rests on anyone who makes any statement someone else contends its credibility. You made a statement that something is false and i contend against your statement. So why shouldn't you be bearing that burden of proof to prove me wrong? The man of God made his statements and i don't have an issue with them. You made yours and i have issues with yours, so who should be giving proofs to me?

"Burden of proof" indeed. What a shallow-thought plot to escape my insistence of PROOF since you have none of course. Good riddance, but you ain't smart enough.

NO! You lack logic. The Burden of proof rest on the person making the initial statement!

They is why if you are accused of a crime and taken to court the burden of proof is on the prosecution to substantiate the claim that you have committed the crime, NOT on you to prove them liars or mistaken.

Does this apply to meanless prophesies? Or to those with so many possible meanings that no matter what the outcome the fake prophet will say I told you so?

Sigh. Thank goodness Christianity is strong enough to stand on its own merits without the need for fake prophets like these 419 pastors.

Wow! Indeed you have logic sir. Hahahaha. There is no way to hide from this for you. Lies beget lies, and of course a lie can't be used to cover another lie. I knew you'd keep throwing out them lies until you put yourself in a corner where you can't cover the lies any more.

You have just given your court scenario and said the burden of proof lies on the prosecution to substantiate the claim you committed a crime and not you to prove them liars or mistaken.

So what have we been all about all these while? You have accused the man of God of a crime and prosecuted him as a liar. How come you still have maintained all these while that the BURDEN OF PROOF is on him to clear himself otherwise. Isn't it so obvious now from your court case-study that you, the prosecutor should be the one substantiating you claims he's a liar and not him proving you've mistaken?

Logic there again right? Come up with another logic too, lthou great logician. It's obvious now, who missed that day at school.

Sigh.

Can I guess you are not native French? That would account for much.

You don't understand it and are very wrong. I am guessing it is from stubbornness as it is quite clear. The statement (prosecution seems to confuse you) is the Prophesy. IT is the thing that needs proven.

Do we have to take each prophesy and show how it is nonsense?

1. The Lord says the harvest for the 100 days fast will be given this year.
2. Daddy says this year will be full of testimonies, those who have non before will have this year.
3. Daddy says some of you will swim in the river of abundance this year.
4. Daddy says there will be miraculous completion of projects.
5. Daddy says there will be fulfillment of dreams.
6. Daddy says there will be miraculous restoration.
7. Daddy says the song of many will be – The Lord has been good to me.

Number one can mean anything. If a good thing happens it will attributed to this 100 days fast. EVERYONE (fasters or otherwise) will have at least one good thing happen to them this year. So this is clearly nonsense for the weak minded. smiley

Two. EVERY year is full of testimonies! It is like saying I prophesy the Sun will rise tomorrow. smiley

Three. Some people will make it rich this year as they have EVERY year. (Especially those false prophets conning people out of their hard earned money) grin

Four Miraculous completion of projects. What projects? Engineering? ISO systems? Software projects? Social projects? There are so many the world over and some will be completed against all odds and to the surprise of doubters. Anyone can say this! smiley

Five. Many people realise their ambitions/dreams every year. I have on many occasions! So again a 'blank reading' where the listener supplies a meaning (any meaning) to a vague utterance. smiley

Six. A Miraculous restoration? What does this mean. Will Biafra be restored (only joking), will some minor Royal regain a crown somewhere. Will a repentant sinner be restored into the body of his congregation? Meaningless drivel that will be justified AFTER the event.

Seven. That's MY song. The Lord has been VERY good to me. Very good indeed. I am nearly 59 have achieved most of my life's ambitions. Have had two successful careers and now travel internationally as a Consultant (will be in Lagos and Abuja from the 11th to the 25th Jan). I enjoy good Christian fellowship and Bible study, have reasonable health (especially for a 58 year old), live in beautiful Ireland and only need to work two weeks a month! The Lord has been good to me. AND to many others also! This happens EVERY year.

Now please, as a supposedly educated person can you call any of the above nonsense prophesy.

Just because the fraudster that spouts this is exposed please don't doubt your Christianity. Even good Christians can be lead astray or fooled by those claiming to speak for God. (And charging plenty of money for it!) grin

It has everything to do with it. You're proposing a system of behavior in which human beings adopt principles and commandments that are found in books with the hopeful assumption that they were written by a supernatural person.

I'm saying that such a system would unleash the floodgates to hell, since anyone can adopt anything. And the books don't have to be peaceful.

I see the point. My point is not that it is good or bad but that it is simply what happens.

Most humans believe in some form of God (I do) - this cannot be justified or proved but is simply taken on FAITH.

People DO adopt anything but the vast majority seem to know right from wrong.

(A indicator - NOT a proof - in my opinion of a higher being/God)

Many DO NOT belief in any gods and have some concept of right or wrong. Such a concept has nothing to do with gods. Even rats learn to avoid snakes. People learn than which causes pain or pleasure and choose the latter more often than not. Boko Haram believe they are doing God's work . How can we show they are not?? The fact that people choose pleasure even when they are "Wrong" or bad for them eg smoking ,drugs ,gambling, child marriage, female genital mutilation etc may by a similar token be argued as evidence or AN INDICATOR that there is no god. People choose that which SEEMS good to them often on limited information.

Yes an interesting opinion and why I stated in the previous post that it was to me only an indicator.

Again a related topic to my original point.

Cant agree on the issue in bold though. But again not on topic or related to my point so we just have to agree to disagree on that one.

You actually don't seem to know the meaning of the word you used and that's why you can't see how much you've contradicted yourself. I'll be gracious enough to assist you however.

Prosecution means to legally accuse someone in a court of commiting a crime. It also means a lawyer who tries to prove in a law court that the accused is guilty of the crime he/she is being accused of. (called THE PROSECUTION).

You said the burden of proof is on the prosecution to substantiate his claim that the other person is guilty. Now who is the prosecutor here; the man of God who prophesied or you who have accused him of fallacy? How then is the burden of proof (according to your court scenario) upon someone you have accused? Now who is the confused fella here? I wonder if it's that you don't even know the meaning of things you say or that you lack a clear understanding of the proper usage of words you spew out here?

Again you try to play smart but unfortunately you lack even an iota of smartness in you.

To the prophecies;

1. The harvest of the 100days fast will be given this year. People don't fast without prayer points much more a 100days fasting. The answers to prayers of the 100days fast will be rolling in this year, that's the harvest. Wonder how that isn't a prophecy. Of course you are too myopic in thought to reason that out.

2. This year will be full of testimonies. Of course everybody has a testimony (atleast that one is alive and healthy are testimonies). Did you notice the word "FULL"? Of course NOT! How would you. Blindness to sentiments and baseless criticisms wouldn't let you see beyond the surface of a line of words.

3. Some persons will swim in the river of abundance this year. Prophet Joel prophesied to the people of Israel saying "you will have plenty to eat, until you are full...." Joel 2:26. Does that mean some people weren't having plenty to eat then or was he also a false prophet? Again your myopic thoughts betray you.

OK. The PROSECUTOR is the one MAKING THE ORIGINAL STATEMENT - that you have done something.
You disagree with them so the burden of proof is on them.
Court was perhaps not a clear analogy for you. Just read any basic book or logic or have a chat with any teacher and you will be enlightened.

Now as for your silly justification of each so called prophesy? Do we really have to debate them? Are they not self obvious nonsense?

Take were you said I missed the word FULL! Of course I did not. You merely did not think! There are between 7 to 8 billion people on this planet. Please tell me what FULL means. It can be interpreted as anything!

I will let you try and figure out the others for yourself but YOU yourself could have said any of these. And if you were unscrupulous enough to claim God told you perhaps some gullible fools would give you money also!

4. There will be miraculous completion of projects. Perhaps you don't know what MIRACLE means. If you did, i'd marvel you still ask if this is a prophecy.

5. There will be fulfillment of dreams. Anybody could fulfill a dream, but again some people have this as prayer requests. So it could be words of strenghtening and encouragement to a few who have been praying for it. Don't see how that makes it less of a prophecy.

6. There will be miraculous restorations. And again prophet Joel prophesied "i will repay/restore the years the locusts have eaten...." Joel 2:25. And still it doesn't seem like a prophecy to you. How will it? The same problem besetting you down.

7. The song of many will be "the Lord has been good to me", and i still quote prophet Joel's prophecy "and you will praise the name of the Lord your God who has worked wonders for you" Joel 2:26. Now you still can't see the prophecy or was prophet Joel also blabbing? Hehehehe. Ok o

So what you are in effect saying on number four is that a miracle will happen!
So the prophesy is a Miracle will happen in 2015! Any fool can say that.

And number seven simply repeats what was said WITHOUT addressing my point!

If you actually accept these as prophesies then God help you. I will pray for you. I suppose if I said 'Robote Ekite' and claimed to be speaking in tongues you would just believe me without verification! You would even challenge those who said I lied to PROVE I was not and not ask me to prove that I was. And that the Bible warns us against those speaking in Tongues without an interpreter present is irrelevant.

Sigh! Just when did you come to France from Naija? Recently?

Hahaha. And you'll be the 1st later to talk about who's stooping low to insults. Ok! Now your cluelessness still doesn't let you see how you've been making a fool of yourself all along?

You come up again with one of those your flawed logics. "THE PROSECUTOR is the one MAKING THE ORIGINAL STATEMENT that you have done something......" What thing did the man of God say you did that now makes him the prosecutor? Is your brain failing you again? You were the one who came out boldly and accused him of fallacy/false prophecies, or are you now saying the accused is also the presecutor? C'mon! What kinda retarded fellow are you? And you claim you are one 58-59 dude? Heard of a fool at forty? You should be the one going back to your teacher to get enlightened and that's if you can even grasp anything. I still await your next post and another failed attempt to exhibit smartness.

You ask me what is meant by FULL? Well, if you don't know the difference between "i have A TESTIMONY" and "i'm FULL OF TESTIMONIES", then it's a clear indication to your baseless rantings.

And for your 7-8 billion whatever, the prophecy says "ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO OBSERVED THE 100DAYS FAST". Don't know what business that has got to do with your billions postulation.

Learn to read attentively and in-between lines.

Keep on deceiving yourself here. Please if you are in short of valuable points, quit the discussion than resorting to childish misconstruing of statements to score cheap points. Soon now you'll say he said "a miracle will happen in 2015".

His prophecy says MIRACULOUS COMPLETION OF PROJECTS. Sure you don't know what a miracle is and that's why you say that's not a prophecy. Dangote builds a state of the art estate in Lekki, Lagos is a project completion but not miraculous because everyone knows he has the resources to do so. One rural village peasant farmer builds a 3 storey building in Gwarimpa Estate is miraculous because by his status as a peasant farmer he doesn't have what it takes to achieve such a project.

So i still wonder, Mr Enlightened how that according to you isn't a prophecy. Blab again, i'm still waiting.

OK. Forget PROSECUTOR it has clearly confused you.

You make a statement - (in this case the ORIGINAL prophesy) The burden of proof is now on YOU to validate the statement. It is NOT on those who disagree. This is clear logic. I CANNOT believe you don't know this.

Your statement that I have bolded is quite meaningless!

Now as for your pathetic attempts at insults where your lack of intellect is evident I can only assume it is the typical defence mechanism of those inadequate people taken in by such vague attempts to pretend to be holy men etc.

As for going back to school. I sort of do! That's my job. Training people (especially in the developing world how to do things). Sadly I think you are beyond any sort of training. I get paid quite a lot to do that and all expenses covered! Lucky me! I told you the Lord has been good to me.

I am genuinely sorry to have upset you by stating the obvious about your false idol and can guess the pain it would cause you to admit the truth. If this nonsense is prophesy then everyone on earth can be a prophet! Even YOU! (More correctly everyone can pretend to be).

I note you did not comment on the speaking in tongues issue. Do you actually believe that everyone spouting gibberish is possessed by the Holy Spirit?

You say you are in France but I know the standard of the French educational system and you would no be struggling with the burden of proof concept had you been educated there.

Could I take a wild guess and say you have moved there recently?

Now I will have to accept that I will never convince you of the falseness of this charlatans claims.

You must equally accept that few educated people will accept this gibberish as prophesy. And to a true Christian we find such attempts at self aggrandisement very suspect! It is noticeable that fakers like this are more prevalent in the developing countries with lower standards of education although sadly that is a generalisation and they are certainly NOT excusive to it.

Sigh! Christianity is expanding very rapidly in Africa. Unfortunately too many unscrupulous people are only too ready to take advantage of that.
