God bless US for their assistance. As for those who delight in destructive criticism,it is never the way forward. Let us work for our common good to make Nigeria great.

With all our oil wealth, we're still a charity case. Piriful undecided

It is precisely because of our oil wealth that we are a charity case.

We should be manufacturing ships galore (we even had Nigerdock....a ship building company)...but because we think that we are oil rich...we resort to importing the things that we should be manufacturing.

Meanwhile, we are not rich.....we are poor. Oil producers that are rich either have populations less than 15 million(Saudi and the UAE) OR have a diversified industrial economy (Norway..the Saudi of Europe...which also has a vibrant industrial sector). Nigeria is neither.

Oilis a curse. Get off oil....and innovations will come!

Sigh.

In addition to the Boko problem....we have a sea piracy problem...and an illegal oil bunkering problem. Millions of dollars worth of oil is still being stolen every year. So.....Boko is not the only problem we have!

Hence the warship.

HOW WILL THEY CLEAN CHECK FOR BUGS PLANTED BY HIGHLY SOPHISTICATED AMERICANS, WHEN YOU LEARN HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN SHIP THERE WOULDN'T BE NEED TO DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE. CLUELESS ONE IS WORKING BY ACCEPTING DONATED SHIP FROM USA INDEED!!!ABEGGIE

And the Nigerian government shamelessly accepted such a gift?.

Africa will continue being ridiculed and will continue depending on foreigners for solution, until we embrace science.

Nigeria is under a spell

We are still losing millions of naira in oil revenue to illegal oil bunkerers....and we are also losing millions to sea pirates.

Hence the warship....or do you want your government to be broke in fighting Boko. Boko is bad....but for now...they are not threatening our oil export capability.
