The director of public relations of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier Olaleye Lajide, has dismissed reports in the Nigerian media claiming that the army could not find academic records of General Muhammadu Buhari (ret.), the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Brigadier Lajide described the reports as false.

The military spokesman made the disclosure while responding to a text message from SaharaReporters seeking clarification about the status of Mr. Buhari’s records. Brigadier Lajide affirmed that the Nigerian Army is in possession of all records of serving, retired and deceased officers since its inception. He added, however, that all military officers are supposed to keep original copies of their certificates.

According to him, in the event where an officer loses his or her original copy of records, the concerned officer must officially apply for copies from the army. He stated that the army responds to such requests in an expeditious manner.

Brigadier Lajide told our correspondent that he was a former director of records at the Nigerian Army headquarters and had seen records of older and retired generals. He added that he was in no doubt that General Buhari’s records were intact.

Brigadier Olaleye insisted that the claim in a major Nigerian newspaper, that the army could not locate Mr. Buhari’s record was untrue

We know that the general will eventually be VINDICATED and all the half-brained supporters of the clueless will see how their shameless the smear campaign will BOOMERANG hard against the clueless; many decent Nigerians who are undecided voters would simply feel outraged by this morally reprehensible mischief against the amiable general and simply swing to supporting him and voting for him.

It would then become even clearer to Nigerians that the clueless and incompetent president has NO concrete achievements to show for all the six years he has been in office, hence his goons have to resort to blatant lies, deceits, mischief, blackmail and all sorts of character assassination against the general.

But unfortunately for them, all these shameless tactics are CLEARLY NOT working, as the wind of change keeps blowing, and the electoral defeat of the clueless increasingly looks a foregone conclusion.

Certificate or No Certificate, am casting my vote for GMB so haters keep on hating

Shame on the PDP-infiltrated Nigerian army for raising a false alarm that an officer within its ranks who rose to become a full genral and Head of state did not have the certificates with them only for them to turn around and admitt later.

It is very obvious that they and the co-travellsrs in Vanguard newspaper and all these PDP e-warriors are shading shadows. How was he able to attend overseas course where those certificates are pre-requisite has been my question.

We remain resolute CHANGE is the only solution to these ignobilities !!!!!

Buhari should simply provide the certificates to INEC...... No need for the long stories.

Besides, Nigerian Army has stated that they do not have the original copies of certificates.
