I know a friend who got the FRSC job through his father's "connections". The vacancy wasn't advertised, in fact it was like a secret thing.
It's the same thing with a cousin of mine who got an FIRS job.

That's what happens in government institutions.

So sad

They should really bury their faces in shame. This administration has really brought shame to almost every part of the nation. Our Judiciary, our Media (except a selected few), our police, our once #renowned Soldiers. When you have a leader that swims in corruption, a leader that that goes about dancing in the name of campaign when is country is in turmoil, a leader that was able to release his kidnapped uncle within a day or two and yet cannot tell Nigerians anything tangible about our missing girls, a leader that told Nigerians that boko haram are in his cabinet yet does nothing about it, A leader that goes about harassing people that try to challenge him, i can go on and on. I'm very sure Nigerians including myself are still in doubt that this is the same man that claim he has no shoes.

Aren't you people tired of all these rubbish? Must you bring politics in everything? Instead of you to comment on what the OP wrote, you are here talking about your useless politics. Please some of us are really tired of GEJ this, Buhari that because it is getting lazy and boring already

Your reasoning is very myopic, it seems you can't differentiate between right and wrong.
whats your definition of myopic ? I am only a realsit who says things as I see them without mincing words . There is nothing you can change about this at the moment . The only right you have is your vote to change it . we saw the rants on media and tv conerning the immigration recruitment , yet the individuals behind this are still enjoying , making millions. unemployment , corruption , nepotisim are not ills a new govt will just deal with within a year or two. if you understand my posts , it simply means if you take the case the op alleged up legally , the questions you may be asked are those I asked ... are the people employed not entitled to the same opportunity ? are they not capable of doing the job ? they may further tell you they were only trying to save cost for the government .
Mr , rants on social network can't effect anychange in this . This do not just happen in govt agencies but also in some private companies. so the change we talking is not just the govt thing but also with the way many Nigerians reason . so , tell me who is myopic as u alleged ?

I attended interviews for close to 5 months to no avail. The job I eventually got, I wasn't interviewed for it.
I just received a call from someone and we discussed the remuneration. My offer letter was mailed to my mailbox and I printed it out.

Interviews in Nigeria is nonsense.

Let's me realistic here, Buhari is a weakling( idiagbon was the one ruling, if u weren't born then, ask ur folks) with no plans for this country.
If I'm voting for Buhari, is not bcuz I want change, cause it won't happen, nada, Nigerian politicians are all the same.
Things will not change under Buhari wateva,he can't do nada no shiit...

I'm voting cuz we need to teach pdp a lesson, (I don't even understand gej,*confused* dude is a case) (power needs to change hands so that subsequently office holders willbe accountable andtake their jobs seriously. Lastly seriously I don't like northerners (yes) but I don't wish death on them.. Maybe if BH sees that one of their own is in power, they'll stop. So what happens after buhari tenures, BH will start up again?

Nigeria is one messed up country to be from.

There is nothing you can do to change the situation now . The question is , are those getting these jobs not entitled to the same opportunity you are demanding , ofcourse the answer is yes. are they not capable of doing the job ? most times the answer is yes also . so there is actually nothing to fight about here , all you need do is keep pushing so you can get to that level where you can help your friends and families in times like this . it is not only in Nigeria. it is known globally , contacts and networking is a sure way in securing a job.
. Yes, those getting jobs through the back doors are Nigerians and are entitle to it. But don't you think it would be fair to give everybody equal opportunity to compete? If you know somebody higher up that got you a job, what about other people who knew no nobody to do the magic for them? Should they commit suicide simply because Providence did not place them in a family with connection? Wouldn't you think that it would be for the overall good for the progress of our country if things, including recruitment, are done exclusively on merit? Had merit being applied to the scheme of things, Jonathan wouldn't have qualify to sit as a local government chairman let alone president of this country.

I never said those without connection should die , pls people still get jobs on merit . My point is this is not something to change by rants on media after all we are yet to see the immigration poo people jailed but this does not mean we should sit without doing anything . My argument is perhaps if you take these diretors to court , they may tell you they ae trying to save cost or may not be able to handle the large number of applicants . DO you know what is done india .... there is an exam every graduate who is a seeker writes . it is clled GATE . it is from this the ministry of interiors selects candidates for interviews in public agencies and private companies. ..... but still they complain . My point is referral by contacts or networks is a legal recruitment process.it is not just in Nigeria alone . what we should envisage is a system being used in india and also fighting a way to stop the pay before ofer letter poo . as for referrals , it is never a case.

Seriously, this country is going down and every citizen that loves this country shouldn't join the bandwagon.
Hear this: About three months ago, FCMB put out advertisement for some vacancies and people applied. They were made to write test. But in the end, the staff who were already working with the bank compiled the names of "their people" who needed jobs and submitted their names to the recruiting agency that handled the recruitment exercise. The names of these people were shortlisted as the names of applicants who passed the test, they were invited and given their employment letters. It was after the employment letters had been given to them that they were instructed to write and submit their own applications to the recruitment agency that was in charge of the exercise should someone raise the dust in future. I knew someone who was called out of the blue by his brother (who was working for the bank) to come collect his employment letter.
My point is that this practice is complicated more than we could imagine because one would easily assume it is limited to the public sector.

It's really bad that the said coded recruitment has gotten into the fabrics of all government ministries, parastatals and departments in Nigeria. Jobs offered by our government are no longer advertized. Even those due for retirement will lobby their continued stay in service to the detriment of our teeming jobless graduates. They keep telling us to rather think of becoming an enterprenuers when it's cystal clear that the economy has little or no favorable ground to support a stable small scale business.

its terrible my brother! tho i am not a party person, but i tell u; even if GMB wins, this errorneous act will not stop!

reason: GMB will not go from one office to another to checkmate what transpires! he will employ people to do so, and these people are liable to corruption!

Every Nigerian needs to change his/her thinking, ways, I.M(know person) kind of character!

I feel ur pain so much because i was once a victim!

In 2011 or there about, i paid about 1,000 or 1,500 for NSITF recruitment. After the exam that accomodated over 5,000 candidates, i was called up for interview after few months of writing d exam.
After the interview, we were told that we all qualified, but our names will be sent to FCC for further scrutiny, since they planned using quota system!

To my greatest surprise, majority of those that were employed never went through the process(no registration fee, no exam, no interview)! All they did was go to their sponsor(a senator or house of rep member) and get a letter! Take the letter to NSITF boss, start documentation! you can check the 2011 NSITF thread!

From that day, i swore never to apply for any govt job!

God will help us all!

try and register for YOUWIN; you can never tell, it might be ur turn to be awarded

Gracias!

You initially sounded like an objective person. But your inclusion of youwin is the last straw that broke your camel's back. We are talking of maladministration you're talking of youwin. Is youwin not still based on who -knows- who? Abegi scram joor.
