A Botswanan I met online asked me to recommend to her an interesting Nollywood movie for her to watch. I was absolutely ashamed recommending any nollywood movie to her. At last I could only recommend two movies: Half of a yellow sun and October 1. I could have equally recommended movies like Ije and the likes if I had remembered. Now, my question goes: was I being unpatriotic, or is Nollywood to blame given the low quality movies they daily insult our sensibilities with?
