Some So-called Statesmen Are Ordinary Men, Says Jonathan by ishiamu(m): 4:16pm On Jan 07, 2015
President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday came down hard on some unnamed Nigerians who he said have been parading themselves as statesmen but are “ordinary politicians” in their utterances.
He said being a statesman was not about the offices previously occupied by politicians.
Jonathan spoke while playing host to a delegation of the Northern Elders Council in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He said politicians who make provocative utterances aimed at causing disaffection and bringing the country down could not be described as statesmen.
He said such politicians only engage in such venture because they do not get what they want.
He said a lot of lies were being peddled about his government with the aim of painting him black.
With time, the President said, Nigerians would know who statesmen are truly are.
Details later.

GEJ is still a spineless coward. Why can't he just mention Obj and let the show start? Anyway, I trust baba Iyabo to reply him the way a brave man is expected to reply to an insult.

Cowardice is not an option Mr Man. The next President (+ other Nigerians) wouldn't even refer to you as an ordinary Nigerian instead of a Statesman, but a convict!

Am not surprise, Confused president, when they speak in his favor, they become statesman, but when they speak against him, they become ordinary politician. U have just few months to leave office and go back to Otueke

Lol,u funny...u really think GEJ can do any different?

Nigerians biggest problem with GEJ's led Government is that public/government corruption/stealing/bloated contracts, misappriopriation and illegal allocation whatever they choose to call it is ruining our economy. Rapid inflation due to lack of production to meet our demands-hence rapid importation and a huge balance of trade benefits.

Instead of our National wealth and economic revenue to be used to fuel the engines of our manufacturing, refining and investment in our sectors-our money is being laundered away in hard currencies, the others are used to buy private jets, exotic jeeps, properties and other consumables...no real investment is being made to create sustainable jobs and capital developments.
