thine own backslidings shall reprove thee, know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing that thou has forsaken the Lord thy God and that My fear is not in thee saith the Lord God of hosts.

Hebrews6 vs 4
it is impossible for those who wer once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift an of the Partakers of the Holy Ghost and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away to renew themselves again unto repentance, seeing they crucify Jesus afresh and put Him to an open shame.

2 peter 2 vs 20
if they have escpaed the pollutions of the world thru the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are later again entangled therein and overcome the end is worse wit them than the beginning for it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it, turn away from the holy commandment delivered unto them and it is happened according to the true proverb, the dog returns to his own vomit and the washed pig wallows back in the mud.

Were you once a christian and u once had salvation and sanctification and was really working for the kingdom but u recently notice that ur love for the Lord has grown cold and u have gone backward spiritually morally then the devil is at work to quench ur fire, there is great danger ahead of u. It would have been better u never knew Christ than after knowing Him u turn and slide back in ur love for Him.
Jesus told us that the servant that knew his Lord's will but did it not nor prepared to do according to the will of the Lord shall be beaten with MANY stripes but he that never knew the Lord shall be beaten wit FEW stripes. The backslidders condition is worse and if they end up in hell they will be tormented seven fold than the sinners who never knew Christ.

THE CONDITION AND SPIRITUAL STATE OF THE BACKSLIDER

the Lord loses a servant
the church loses a member
the brethren loses a brethren
the backslidder is unfit for heaven

CAUSES OF BACKSLIDING
idleness and joblessness (2 thess 3 vs 6-
worldly friends
worldly success and pride
environment
lack of spiritual leaders and brothers
trials and afflictions.

GOD'S LOVE AND OUTSTRETCHED ARMS OF PATIENCE TO THE BACKSLIDER

the Lord is not willing that anyone should perish but that all should come to Him in repentance

God does not condemn the backslidder but rather He calls and strives to make the backslidder to return to Him and God does this via the Holy Spirit and His mercies towards the backslidders shows that He indeed is a God of Love.


jeremiah 3 vs 22 - return ye backsliding children and I will heal ur backslidings

Jeremiah 3 vs 12
Return thou Backsliding israel saith the Lord and I will not cause Mine anger to fall upon u for I am merciful, turn to Me O backsliding children for I am married to u

Hosea 14 vs 1
Return unto the Lord your God for u have fallen by thine iniquity and take with u words and turn to the Lord and say unto Him " take away all our iniquities and receive us graciously, I will heal their backsliddings for Mine anger is turned away from him.

The Lord promises restoration blessings and protection to the backslidders if they return (psalm 91, job 36 vs 11 jeremiah 4 vs 1)

today the Holy Ghost says if you hear His voice harden not ur hearts as the Lord strives to make u return to His sheepfold.
Return to the LORD and live.

He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.
