My Heart Bleeds!!!!!!!!!

I followed up the killings of 17 victims (Charlie and others) in 3 despicable terrorist acts last week in france which prompted a unity march of 1.5 million people including 40 world leaders in Paris.

I saw true patriotism, I saw people showing great love for their country. I saw clerics, government officials and security operatives express great concern for the lives of the citizens of france and as well the peace and unity of france.

But in my own country it is a different story!

Why?

Last week more than 2000 civilians including women and children were massacred by terrorists in Baga.

Yesterday Damaturu was under heavy bombardment by terrorists.

Today another heavy bombing in portiskum!

My heart bleeds!

Nobody cares!

Children are dying!

Leaders are dying while the old are seeking presidential power!

Things are going wrong, walls are falling apart and the center no longer holds yet Pastors and others Religious leaders are busy endorsing their best candidates for the forthcoming elections!

Shame on you all!

May God have Mercy on you all!

The Average Nigerian Man is a mediocre. Who is always after the NOW!

Brainwashed Idiots!

The people who make you sit under the sun shouting 'PDP POWER'! 'APC CHANGE"! All have their children schooling abroad with so many citizenship. But you are here shouting all your strength and after it all you are given 500 Naira(4$)!

Shame on you all!

People no longer seek the peace of our fatherland but for their choice party to wins elections. Yet you pray for development?

You must be mad! Because no investor will invest in such economy.

Oh Lord Have Mercy!

The igbos shouting, Divide Nigeria!

The Hausa's shouting, Power is ours!

Is there any Pastor Preaching Truth and Calling For Peace in This Country?

Who will march, pray or preach when they are all in the stadium's endorsing one good for nothing politician.

No world leader is planning a trip to Nigeria and yet we are the Giants of Africa!

Giants my foot!

We are dwarfs!

Our Glory is Lost!

Our country is now a place where refuses are dumped.

Planes that aren't working are imported here and used. Putting peoples lives at risk.

Japan, America, Russia and all including China, train their youths to be the best so they could explore nigeria's wealth and invest in their country whereby making it a better place. But Nigeria train her youth to become Labourers for them.

A country where the youth testify and celebrate when they get visa to travel to Qatar for a security guard job!

A country where a Masters. Degree Holder is a Truck driver.

A country where our Military fight without guns and outdated ammunitions!

A country where we have graduated illiterates.

A country that has graduate fools with good degrees from stupid universities.

Our educational system is a mess. The worse of all! All they show you is the picture, the exterior. More than 500 students in a Small room called a Lab without chairs only a flask and yet it is a medical Lab.

No wonder our medical doctors normally forget needles in the body of their patients!

If the hospitals were good enough, why don't the politicians patronise them, instead they run to india or America.

Its a pity!

Shame on you all!

Are you building a country where you can raise your kids or invest?

I'm with you bro, it's heartbreaking. To make this even worse, in these countries you mentioned, you have people standing up for what's right without compromising. Who is standing up in Nigeria for what's right? The government act when things go wrong in these countries, the reverse is what's happening in Nigeria. We don't even know what's right anymore.

Over 3 million people turned up to show support for 17 people that were killed by terrorists

I'm yet to hear of people showing solidarity for more than 15,000 people that have been killed by Boko Haram so far or the 2000 people that were killed recently.

We are so used to people getting blown in the north that any news of people dying just seem normal to us. No one seem to bat an eye when we read the news about another bombing by boko haram because none of our family members are involved or because we feel the north is a long way from our region.

What's going on in Nigeria? Tribal bigotry and #500 bribe have made us all turn blind eyes to the evils being committed.

Mr president is busy running around electioneering while people are dying. His political opponent, a man whose name has been prominent in Nigerian politics even before i was born is busy trying to find his way back to power, this is a man who's been part of the history of everything that's wrong with the county.

No power, unemployment is as high as ever, and insecurity continues to grow. The world oil market is now as unstable as our electricity supply yet our dependence on its existence continues to grow. There's a shift in technology and we are still half a century behind.

The saddest part of it, the people, the days of people speaking up for the good of all seem to be over. Now it's all about my tribe or monetary benefits. Selfishness at an all time high and no one cares about their neighbor, it's all about me, me, and me.

The people have now been kept busy "sai-ng" buhari and praising such a tremendous first term of the president that has produced the biggest massacre in Nigerian history.

I'm not even sure where this is going, i'm just sad and heartbroken at what my motherland has become.

So true. The philosophy of National Unity is gone. We now pursue regionalism, ethnicity , religion and tribes. I see alot, are fed up with the entity called--NIGERIA.

Op, very well said.

Considering that states in Nigeria were primarily carved out as a "tool of war" and balkanization, one should not expect anything positive from a lurid concept with a foundation saddled with maleficence and antagonism.

A country full of diseased retrogressive imbeciles without the minutest speck of decency. Backward ever, forward never...century in, century out.

It was further Heart-breaking when I saw many Nigerians uploading the "Je suis Charlie" thingy as Profiles!

One thing became clear to me! The Lives of the "Masters' matter, while "Slaves' are very expendable.
Most of us grew up seeing people from Congo DRC, Burundi, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Somalia, CAR etc as ANIMALS who love cannibalizing each other because of the unending wastage of Human Lives that has become their Signature! Alas Nigeria joins such men!
The Strength of a Civilization is measured by the worth of her Citizens! Kill a Roman anywhere in the Empire and thousands will perish for it!

What is Wrong with our People...I scream everyday!

I watched the EXODUS-GODS AND KINGS movie and I wept! The Fact that Videos Censors Boards of various African Countries did not ban the movie in their countries shows a Lost Race that knows not its past, present or future!

Have we had it this bad in the history of our motherland?

Whether we like it or not, the blame goes to our C-in-C who will not move the entire Nigerian Army (if that's the only thing required) to the section being massacred by the terrorists.

Another unfortunate thing is that our leadership shamelessly politicizes the killings and looks on as if it will stop by a miracle. Unfortunately, the more we do "nothing", the worse the situation becomes that even the fools who unashamedly blame the northerners "for bombing themselves" may eventually be consumed by the same insurgency.

Time to put politics aside and unite against this terrorism!

That picture is gory, remove it if u have human dignity.

What do u expect when apc is Happy to hear bad news so as to use it as political point against d incumbent.

We have lost human feelings entirely. Nowadays bomb blast news no longer ring bell in our subconscious minds.

BUHARI & GEJ WILL NOT HELP US!!!
Maybe even God cannot help Us!!!-*musing*

I agree with everything you wrote apart from BUHARI & GEJ won't help us. I do not want to play politics with lives, I have no reason to. God who watches all of us know that at this point of typing this, I have no affiliation with any candidate.

These two men can help, saying they can't help is us not demanding of them what is expected of them (GEJ as our current C-inC and GMB if he becomes C-in-C). How do you organize a march or even want to go to help when even the president of the country with all the might of the armed forces behind him hasn't been able to go there. A leader should inspire confidence, this is the reason why the march in Paris was led by the leaders. The message this sends out to the citizens and terrorists is very strong and it inspires confidence in the citizenry.

Marches in Nigeria have been disrupted and the "marchers" have been demonized by the leaders of our country. So its not like it doesn't happen but they've tried to make it a bad thing just because they don't have a favorable response to their grievances.

Please lets demand more from our leaders, this is what other more developed democracies do. Any tragedy that occures no matter how big or small, what happens in those countries is everyone turns their eyes to their leaders because how they react has a huge consequence on whats going to happen to their country from then on out.

Bush was criticized for sitting down and not doing anything for SEVEN MINUTES, please let me repeat that, 7 MINUTES, after he was told about the 9-11 bombings. Imagine if we took our leaders to task like that.

Boris Kodjoe should stop crying more than the bereaved. You can't help people that haven't even realised they have a problem. Very few media outlets in Nigeria even carried the incident in Baga. They were too busy collecting brow envelops to promote and endorse PDP and APC.
If we don't care about our problems, why should anyone else do?

Well, like you know we the youth especially the once you have on this section don't care, all we do here is Sai Buhari and GEJ till 2019.

Please check if you find any politicians children among the youths destroying GEJ/PDP campaign vehicles in Jos some days ago, Also try to see if you see children of APC chieftains among those Nigerians that was attacked in Port harcourt or wherever, if you find any of their relatives call me a bastard.

As for those victims of BH, i don't care they can murder 1 million, that's their business if i become a victim then so be it, all we care is my tribes man must be president or governor, even if it's clear we won't benefit from it, i asked two friends last week who they vote for, and their response was Jonathan, and i asked why the response i got was, "You want make hausa people come rule us again" this is same mentality in 50% of every Nigeria youths and voting population and you want progress?

Abegii, Nigerians killed Nigerians so no biggi, BH can kill more 2 million more, what else you have the CinC do? he should pick up arm and go to borno, what do we do to soldiers sympathetic with BH and saboteurs in the army? you recall a time the same incompetent soldiers was dealing with BH hardly and some prominent Nigerians came out to cry genocide, Nigeria was a mistake and we should correct that unholy union if we want to have peace.

If northerners are not bombing themselves who is bombing them? This your mentality is the reason we will never win this war against Boko Haram.
What were your comments when northern elders asked GEJ to withdraw solders from Northeast in 2012? We must learn how to tell ourselves the truth if we are going to progress as a country

It is your reasoning that is warped and defies logic. So, because Northerners who are Boko Haram members carry out the bombings it makes sense to say Northerners bomb themselves? Did those who got killed in bombings wish to be killed?

In your "mentality", if some Southerners carry out criminal acts and kill innocent persons, those dead would have deserved to die because "it is southerners killing themselves"! What a reasoning!

I won't waste my time any further on people like you.
