We all are aware about the crass obsession of the "high-officed" Nigerian politician with prayers. Even though we acknowledge we are in a thorougly religious but largely "unGodly" country, we admit theres the need to recognise & invoke the intercession of Gods grace @ different turns in our national life, but theres the very compelling need to tell these people that its proper planning, diligence, focus, doggedness, intellingence thats needed to lead a people & a nation to greatness & not just prayers. This dropping is coming on the heels of our ever pious President's recent posturing, calling on Nigerians to get into the "prayer-warriors mode", perhaps for the umpteenth time, for the Military on the backdrop of the recent attack in Baga. Sir, its not prayer that would give them victory but equiping, re-training, motivating & plugging institutional leakages that allows corruption to fester within its ranks.
