hope I put this in the right section. ave you ever being in a situation when your penniless & have to walk a long way to the ATM to withdrawal money to take a bus to your destination only to end up waiting for about an hour @ the bus stop because you had no little domination of our beloved currency because you were paid in 1000 naira notes? or you board a bus only to be dropped along the way by the angry conductor because apparently they have no change? I do remember during the invent of atm in the society I do get paid in 100/200/500. but I guess its now a thing of the past I cant even remember when last I got paid 500. what are your experiences an why are banks being insensitive ?

The best way to avoid such unpleasant incidents you mentioned is to either buy a goods for the sake of having change or the the higher denomination outrightly
