My brother/sister, don't always be in a hurry to post a comment. Understanding is key. The poster you responded to is only making a general comparison between those days and today. He/She is not saying that Lagos should provide those with its meagre allocation. Of a truth Mr President was on point. His generation has failed you and I. And that generation includes Fashola, Buhari, GEJ et al. What they enjoyed in their days has eluded us today. In all your getting, get understanding. Thank you. OLUJOSHINS: |

Lol. That's funny. But why was he hanging on those words unnecessarily? We all know the president said that out of modesty since he was addressing youths. It's not uncommon for people to say our future depends on the youths nor for them to suggest that the youths will do much better. Pro Fasholas, is he the only governor from APC? So who and who constitute his own generation which has not failed? We seem to be settled with the little we're giving. Nigerian politics is childish; goes to show how behind Africa is. 2 Likes |

I don't know y Nigerians don't have respect for their leaders. And yet we want to be leaders someday. For God's sake Goodluck can not please everyone, no one can, but that doesn't mean that we should abuse them. People here abuse their leaders and yet they want to lead other people. It baffles me. |

mikeansy: I wonder what he 'Fashola' learnt from the talk where politicians were advised against taking swipe at themselves. Next minute, he's in a town hall meeting throwing tantrums at GEJ. So what did he learn there, because I clearly saw him sitting in front. Too bad, our politicians will never learn! |

phemmie06: "Pass his boundary" how? Do you think he was wrong when he made that statement? I think he was spot on! Fashola should stop being boastful and like an earlier poster said, Fashola should take a drive around lagos and see the reality on ground! |
Re: Fashola To Jonathan: "You Failed, Not Me!" by rumours: 6:26am On Jan 15, 2015 |
Educate them my guy. You are so objective and so on point in your submission - people live a lot in denial. I have noticed that lack of understanding is majorly a key factor. Some people hurriedly post comments here mostly based on their parochial and primordial sentiments and without proper understanding of the fact of the matter. Some too post theirs because they want to make front page - no understanding. Once again, thank you for a well articulated post. I wish many others can learn. Kudos. NB : You will see that people who are guilty of what I have said will respond negatively as usual. Watch out! ! mikeansy: |

The failure of GEJm is a clear picture of lack of common sense. With all the knowledge of Practical, theory differences. With all d knowledge of the bible saying a man must head his home. With all the knowledge of love your Neigbor the way you love your self. GEJm.has never applied common sense in applying these basic principles to government. Instead, he 1. Listened to his illiterate wife 2. Listened to NOI who has incomplete brain. We still need to verify her certificate. How can someone apply what she reads in American book to Nigeria economy. Abeg is nigeria, America? She must be jailed for stupidity. 3. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, instead, GEJ who is not the holder of mrs petrol has found beauty in her. She has deceived him in daylight and maybe night sef. Not sure if he even saw her levels. Look but don't touch. (Mugu) In her pretense and self centered attitude, has milked all d subsidy, upto the level that private jet is now her baby's toy. Well, when the chips are down, I hope we will find her in the country to explain many untold stories in Krikri GEJ blaming min of info. For not telling the truth about the feelings of Nigerians. A big shame. All these guys should be prohibited from leaving the country until cleared by the incoming govt. their passport seized. because all we going to hear is that they are all going for medical checkup. 2 Likes |

iiichidodo: mikeansy:the above posters are bloody ibo bigots who don't even reside in lagos. They are both known on NL for the way they tear down anything lagos cos they are mad that lagos state government gives no room for ibos in its political atmosphere. There thesame people who go about shouting lagos is a no man's land. So everyone should be able to eat at a joint in VI before one of the bigots can agree that fashola has performed. ![]() ![]() ![]() 5 Likes |

starlingbawa:he can't solve all the problem at once, but he has shown us that it is possible by laying a good foundation. Btw, I don't think you live in lagos cos if you do, you'd know that the man keeps commissioning projects every week as if he's going for another tenure. 1 Like |

Bayswater: I remember tinubu's era and can see the vast improvements from that era. I remember Obj and Yaradua but the improvements from that era in GEJ tenure is minimal. In many cases, we went backwards. 1 Like |

This is someone in your own generation telling u, that in know way has he or the generation that he belongs tp failed. Rather Its GEJ who has failed himself and the nation. One would expect that as a responsible leader he for once takes responsibility. The mantle of power was accorded to you s however you wheel is totally up to you, whether you decide to walk in the path of impunity or graciously its entirely up to you. The bottom line is that you must give account of your stewardship. Which at the point isn't something to write home about. |

Oh y oh y? Why re we unlucky! Why do we choose Goodluck over efficiency! Why do we choose sentiments over logic and truth! Why do we choose a school boy presidency over men of character and charisma! If Fashola was my president I would sleep with my two eyes closed! Cos a true C in C is in charge, both intellectually and performance based! O Nigeria change ur ways and thinking! Let's abandon religious and ethnic sentiments! It has never paid us, and has kept us where we are! 1 Like |

I have followed GEJ closely since this campaign period and realized the man reeks of nothing but incompetence and lies. I've never seen a leader who continously puts blames on others for a job he failed woefully at. It's high time we stopped letting sentiments becloud our judgements. The fisherman should get going already 2 Likes |

zegbeye: You are wrong! Buhari and APC as a whole are riding on Fashola's achievements in Lagos State. It seems many of you are blinded towards Fashola, this is the main man that makes most Nigerians realised that if you vote for a competent candidate you can have a better government. This is election time that's why Fashola is blowing his trumpet. 1 Like 1 Share |
