lacasa:this people mix with the inhabitats the community and they use them as human shields so u don't come in their start shooting anybody u see.get that again, war against insurgency is ''never'' a conventional war.what stops USA from flushing ISIS in the blink of an eye? The only way u can achieve success is to use the UDI(Bayelsa) strategy dat Obasanjo used which is inhuman and uncivil.in the civilized world, people like Obasanjo can't be working freely by now. |

finniblinks: Let me tell u sometin u dnt knw In these occupied towns u hear of BokoHaram call them caliphates, and like a caliphate is governed by religious sharia law Bokoharam adopts such style of governance. It is like a govt having courts, security patrols, markets, a local economy etc Let me tell u wat some IdPs told us wen they ran away from mubi to Kaduna some 2moonths back or so, they said this Bokoharam people r mostly young boys, infact teenagers. They hardly even speak the local hausa language used widely, and there are touaregs amongst them. They brag to them that they will overrun Nigeria and that even iff they escape they will come to wherever they are. So, tell me how is BokoHaram mixing wt the local population that the army is so unable to see them n fight them? When they overrun bases, r they invincible or is the army blind to see them overrun their barracks as well?. Think! 1 Like |

finniblinks: Repeating my contribution as it seems you are unable to consider, comprehend and or reply to the comments I have made An insurgency is not a definition of conflict methodology but is indicative of armed conflict against the recognised and constituted authority of the state. In the first instance your proposition is without merit and substance. The general modality of most insurgents is to adopt attrition warfare as the primary means of securing their interest and weakening their adversity irrespective of their political or religious ideology. Counter insurgency strategies are underpinned by intelligence, which will require a whole new communications infrastructural capacity as well as personal training with correct precision weaponry, which we clearly lack. Currently Boko have since discarded their initial attrition campaign and have now been seizing large swathes of territory and are now pursuing ESSENTIALLY A CONVENTIONAL WARFARE PLATFORM, with I reluctantly painfully have to admit they Boko are experiencing great success.. They are no longer the unseen enemy they are clearly visible they are not running, we seem to be on the run, Why That would take a bit more to explain. |
