As commander in chief, will he carry gun and enter the battle field? The best his visit would have achieved is to motivate the soldiers and sympathize with the bereaved. Asides that, it would only serve political purposes. Can't those needs be met by other people delegated by him, like CDS, COAS, NSA, Defence minister etc? Does he have to visit them every year to show he is concerned, considering that he visited less dan 2years ago?
