Where did Bale, Fabregas, Pirlo and Rooney finish in the FIFPro World XI voting?

FIFPro have revealed the 55 players who
received the most votes for their 2014 World XI.
So which stars won the respect of their peers in
the annual poll?


Real Madrid were the most
popular team in the voting
for the annual FIFPro XI,
followed by Bayern Munich
and Barcelona.

The Fifa FIFPro World XI is the best team of the year as voted for by over 23,000 professional footballers all
over the world. The ultimate XI of 2014 was
announced at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in Zurich on
Monday, with David Luiz and Andres Iniesta the
surprise picks in a team spearheaded by Cristiano
Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Arjen Robben

The FIFPro reserve XI, comprising of the goalkeeper,
four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards
who received the next highest amount of votes, was also later revealed and featured the likes of Neymar,
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Suarez.

Following the same pattern, FIFPro has now divulged
the next three strongest teams based on votes
received.

The third-string XI consists of: Iker Casillas; Pepe,
Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Vincent Kompany; Andrea
Pirlo, Xavi, Paul Pogba; Diego Costa, Gareth Bale,
Thomas Muller.

The fourth-string XI: Gianluigi Buffon; Diego Godin,
Jerome Boateng, Branislav Ivanovic, Javier
Mascherano; James Rodriguez, Bastian
Schweinsteiger, Eden Hazard; Karim Benzema, Robert
Lewandowski, Sergio Agüero.

The fifth-string XI: Claudio Bravo, Dani Carvajal, Filipe
Luis, Raphael Varane, Pablo Zabaleta; Cesc Fabregas,
Arturo Vidal, Mesut Ozil; Marco Reus, Franck Ribery,
Wayne Rooney.

Real Madrid are the most represented from these 55
players, with 12 inclusions. Barcelona and Bayern
Munich both provide 10 players. Chelsea have six
current players, Juventus have four.
