erm... why are we so focused on 950 deaths and ignoring 53,000?

There are even suggestions that the govt's legacy of improved roads across the country may have led to an INCREASE in fatalities, as cars and trucks speed more on smooth roads.

Could Jonathan's infrastructure transformation be killing more Nigerians than Boko Haram?

Just a little something to make you go...hmmmmm. cool

There is no way improved roads can lead to increased road accidents unless if the roads are poorly constructed which produce huge potholes fews months after construction as such, deceiving drivers into thinking the roads are smooth.

So you don't think overspeeding on smooth roads causes accidents?

Potholes probably cause less than 1% of all accidents. Drivers can generally see potholes long before they reach them, making them slow down. Accidents are not caused by a driver thinking the road is smooth and getting knocked over by a pothole.

I do not entirely agree.

Are you insinuating roads with potholes are safet than smooth roads?

First, where did you freaking get your numbers from? ??.?

Ian Bremmer''s latest death casualty tracker says lives lost to Boko Haram last year alone was 7,711.

Carry out an indepth research before you post on here.

Second, according to the World Health Organisation WHO, 6.6 million kids die before age 5. Does it mean we should not pay attention to Ebola because it had just killed less than 10,000 people? Does it mean that tackling the death of those kids is more of grave concern than the Ebola Virus?

Your reasoning is not only warped but dangerous , bereft of the lamest feedback mechanism.

FYI: For those that have said Boko Haram started killing during the regime of Jonathan, Boko Haram killed more people in 2009, when Yaradua was alive than when Jonathan took power. In fact, 2011 casualties were less than the death toll in 2009 when Yaradua was president. So what gives?

Frawzey

PS: Ian Bremmer's Boko Haram casualty data is attached herewith.

This is utterly reckless, classless, disgusting,in bad taste and unexpected of any individual that claims to be educated,no matter d political divide you find yourself.
For the op to compare the lives lost to d bokoharam terrorists, even if 1 to that lost in road accidents, even if in their thousands diminishes d op as a human being.
Do you know the kind of trauma terrorism cause to families, devastation of communities, family bond, livelihood?
If u av ever witnessed terrorism or come across people who have and seen areas where boko haram av unleashed their reign of terror, you wouldn't bring up such tasteless comparisons all in the name of politics.
I doubt if even GEJ with all his shortcomings can use such disgusting comparison to score a political point.
You people don't av limits any longer.Anything is fair sport,no matter how revolting in order to secure your means of livelihood! Gosh!
