BRos as @ogompaul said grade is nt enough. It helps but u need a strong letter of motivation particularly . Early application also helps. SOmetimes work experience is needed. All in all its a combination of everything nt only grade. If i were u i would focus my energy on making march resumption next yr. But if u still feel like applying try searching on daad.de. and follow d skools instructions.

|
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Eke40seven(m): 9:24pm On May 09, 2015 |
riosworos: You need to start applying as quickly as possible as some programmes' deadline may have passed and some are about to. Go to www.daad.de/en and check for international programmes. use the tool and filter your search. Since you had a first class, your chances of getting admission will be exceptionally high and given your grades, writing a good motivation letter if it is required shouldn't be much of a challenge. Enlighten yourself about the application documents you will need to gather like your transcripts and others. Application for visas may be a bit different from what is obtainable here in Nigeria but you could still learn some things if you read the past comments on the thread. I hope you find it useful. Good luck 1 Like |

I don't know how fast you would want to go about it especially if your first degree in uk is giving you an edge to study in English, what in sure is that some schools that waive the English proficiency would usually request that you've studied and lived in an UK,USA,NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA and others consider some commonwealth countries. What I did was to narrow the search on this on this link to suit your first degree so you're yo select the courses that you deem fit for you masters study. Take not, some will let you apply through the school online portal and still print, sign and send along with certified copies of some of your first degree dicuments and other documents that would be listed on the course requirements list. Others but very few will just accept the online feeling and submission without the physical documents along. And most would require that you go through a portal called u-assist. Meanwhile trying to explain u-assist procedure would be a bit cumbersome, my best bet is that you'd better understand it when those schools that would require you to use the means direct you to, because most times they direct you in how to go about it and it's easy if you don't mind that I say, after all you be class pikin https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programs/en/?p=l&q=°ree%5B%5D=2&fos%5B%5D=4&subject=710&lang%5B%5D=2&langDistribution=6&bgn%5B%5D=SW%2CW%2CPHD&fee%5B%5D=1 Mind you most schools are close for winter by now but miracle dey happen, I hope the link is alive for you, if you can find anything on this link, you can still narrow your search I hope It help, good luck |

Mr ogompaul, first class for international university nor easy. He just said that because he is a 1st class division degree holder and he is proud of it which I don't think is a bad idea afterall. Your comment with the "for your mind, abi?" is not ideal at all. Unless you've never for once wanted a first class degree. ogompaul: riosworos, good job on your degree in elect engg. And yes, your first class div. does make the admission process much easier. Many people will say it's grace and I am not against that (because it truly is) but believe it or not, the admission committee reads more than your motivation letter, they check through your transcripts, your yearly grades in each subjects, how long it took you to pass in a subject that's related to your course of choice (backlogs/carry-overs) and this further decreases the chance of rejection. All the best. riosworos: |

ignorantguru:Don't act ignorantly, it will cost you. Shed any iota of ignorance you have here and brace yourself with research skills. I responded to this particularly because the last question in your post have been discussed exhaustively through the last 5 pages! I even posted an excerpt from the embassy's website discussing this in details. When you ask questions like this repeatedly, it makes answering question exhausting and boring for those who are willing to help. Brace yourself, education in Germany is research intensive, I wish our ogas can come here and shed more light on these challenges. Just go back some pages and digest the posts you read, it will help you further. Don't just come and comment and wait for answers when you need it, read other people's questions and answers too. Please, don't take offence, its just a heartfelt observation and my two cowries too. 4 Likes |

Remember I'm just starting to comment having gone through the initial stages with trials and errors which worked though, I only wanted to be sure of crucial proceeding stages. I will do so. Still thanks AK47, I'm grateful. |
