There are strong indications that Kwankwanso may dump APC as he hopes to keep his presidential ambition alive. The thinking of the Northern turks of which Kwankwanso is one is that if Buhari wins, they will have no hope for presidency in the near future. A close ally of the Governor confirmed that this is the game PDP Is latching on which has resulted in his lack lustre support for the APC campaign. Analysts believe that his recent less critical stance with PDP may have informed Shekarau seemingly 'sidon-look' attitude because having left APC because of Kwankwanso, the latter's return may not be palatable.

PDP sees a hold on Kano and Lagos as critical success factors and Kwankwanso is strategic breaking Kano. Insiders say PDP Is ready to sacrifice Bauchi to win Kano as Lamido seems to be toeing OBJ line.
