but I already did my biometric for a visitor visa last two months and the agent told me if I get to Canada that he has someone over there that will help me look for job but I read about it and notice it's not that easy, please is there anything I can do to get a long stay when I get to Canada apart from the asylum route
Have you read up on express entry? PNP? Please do read up and see if you qualify. Don’t rely on the information of the agent of devil.
Relocating on a visit visa is not as easy as agent of demons make it seem, the suffer head will be too much. Think twice about this.

Hello Everyone,

I genuinely want my elder sister to visit me in Canada as she can afford it and she has good home ties..no intention of staying in Canada..just visit ..max 7days..I am a student tho with my kids(my spouse comes and goes).

She also has a someone she sees in Canada and he travelled to Nigeria recently to visit her.

Please who is the best person to invite her? Myself or her bf? (Bf is PR) tho relationship is pretty new.

And is coming for my graduation a good reason?

First your profile name is hilarious grin Wetin you go do for Canada with old age to study? grin

In this case, you are in the best position to invite your sister and use graduation as a concrete reason. Never let her use her bf because they might see that as a redflag to go and not come back

As she is single with her age, that means she has a weak family tie except she has a child as a single mother. There are some certain age, most especially 35 and above that they don't consider parents as a family tie, especially if there are other siblings you have who the VO believe can take care of the parents without you. The VO would right "The applicant has no dependent and does not have significant family ties outside Canada". Except if at that age you are the ONLY CHILD can this be acceptable.

I will suggest you let her use her strong financial and economic ties as a way of her sure return. House docs, landed properties, investments, car docs, assets, fixed deposits all available commercial bank statements (with good cash flow), evidence of good job, payslip e.t.c that will make the VO see that this one is single BUT GALLANT. Being single at whatever age isn't a crime to them but not having a strong financial and economic ties is a NO NO for them.

Ensure you let the VO realize one way or the other your husband goes and comes because he is financially and economically stable. That's a plus for you to convince the VO that your families aren't desperate. Also, include all evidences from birth certificates to pictures that you are siblings. Use strategic pictures that you took together with your sister. But don't ever, ever and ever include her Bobo grin She can from the airport go to his place and forget about you and your old woman life. Lollgrin

Finally, if the wedding invitation of your sister is out, I am on queue grin Na young and vibrant person like me still get complete teeth eat the wedding meat old woman like you no fit chop grin grin

Shalom!!!

The agent told you that he has someone that will help you look for a job when you land? Here is a way agents deceive the GULLIBLE. A smart person would have told the agent to look for a job first so that you can go through work permit as it is better, safer and not stressful that way, compared to having vv and then start searching for work. The BP you will have by the time your 6 month stay is about to elapse with no job is traumatic oo. A smart person will have a deal with the agent....My work visa is out, you collect your money. Period!!! In fact, I would go online and search how everything is processed step by step and remain ignorant to the agent to see how genuine and transparent he would be for him not to give me a fake visa...but some people can't reason this way because they loved to be deceived. Some are lazy to make research

Note, there isn't an assurance that your visa will come out in 3 months time, if approved. It's just an estimation but not guaranteed. Your agent may not tell you this but the earlier you know this, the better. It could be less, exactly 3 months or more as far as 8 months to even 1 year. So be psychologically ready for this.

Anyone that advises you to use visit visa as asylum doesn't like you. It has so many implications. Nigeria has the highest number of asylum applications in the whole of Africa in Canada. This has really affected the rate they give visa bonanza now. This may also affect your application as you are about to apply. All thanks to your brothers and sisters who went and never came back but instead chose asylum. You think Canada embassy in Nigeria doesn't have the record? It's even on their database for everyone to see. This has now made them be strict in scrutinizing applications thoroughly for Nigerians thereby, causing delay in decision making. The 3 months processing time is no longer guaranteed due to this

Asylum is 50-50. About 3 thousand Nigerians that applied for asylum last year from January to October- only 700+ (not upto 800) were approved. Now I asked you to tell me yourself what would happen to the remaining 2200 or so? That's deportation with life ban. Besides, Canada is now wise on asylum. The government has realized that the money they are spending on them is getting too much. Believe me, asylum isn't the path way you can take except if you are stubborn and ready to damn all consequences after this enlightment. Don't let the agent carjole you

I will suggest you go through study route when you land. Though it is not cost effective but better. Check the last 3-4 pages to see where I uploaded a video on how to convert VV to study.

Shalom!!!

Good morning guys,

PPR arrived today for MIL.

Submitted: 15th October ,2023
Biometric: 30th October, updated on the 1st November.
PPR: 18th February,2024

After my MP got involved last week. No travel history.
Submitted Documents from her: Passport

Submitted document from me:
Invitation letter, financial support letter, balance of Canadian bank account (wifey and I), PR cards, marriage certificate and wife’s birth certificate.

Please, what’s the process of submitting passport?

Note: I am adding this to clear the MP part. MP only asked IRCC the status of the application. MPs do not influence the outcome of the application. MP doesn't have such powers.

The plane ticket alone will cost almost 3 million naira, and you said you want your sister to visit you for maximum of 7 days.

Also, you claimed your sister boyfriend resides in Canada.

Between me and you, I know your sister is not coming to Canada for 7 days, she’s coming to stay.

Anyway, I believe you are in the better position to invite her.

Good morning Nairalanders

Thanks for all you do in sharing your experience with others.

My wife got admission at Lakeland College for a 2 Year Diploma in Early childhood Education at Lakeland College Alberta for Fall 2024.

I did not intend to go on an SOWP I just want to apply for a visit Visa and escort her with the kids along to drop them off.
Can she go with our two kids?

We have paid her full tuition fee of $18,000 CAD and I transferred £35,000 British pounds into her personal account for their POF.

While my personal account have £7,100 and my company account have £20,000.

Do they stand a chance for the visa.
She went to the UK last Month on a visit visa to build her travel history, and we have landed properties (House and undeveloped lands) for home ties.

My job is better off here, that's why I just want to go and visit them and return once in a while.

Do we stand a chance of getting the visas?

Kindly advise

Ha!!! Your sister has a strong family tie like maadd. Considering she has 4 kids coupled with the fact that their father is late plus her strong financial and economic ties - I say congratulations to her in advanced for her PPR cool Just make her Bobo a secret to the VO, regardless grin and package her application well. It will fly for approval by God's grace

As per your name....I no na disguise oo grin You are not available to crack your brain for "tuish" profile name that can't bring in money grin You are only available to crack your brain on things that make cool cash grin grin and I love that cool
