I swear you need the GCMS notes on this your application before reapplying. Don't think that needs to be overemphasized na. No gainsaying its strengths to one that was refused, particularly one that can't lay hands on exactly what went wrong.

@Oga Awele, easy bruv, info has got to be a whole lot straight on platforms as these. Well, maybe other climes experiences differ from what obtains in Nigeria in the embassies you listed as regards "refusal stamps" on passports.

@Oga Jayfierce, two days to go methinks sha.
for what I know, Canada and UK don't stamp passports again. My relation works with TLC Ikeja so, I am doubly sure of UK. I've also heard of a couple of guys in this forum whose passports were not stamped by CIC. Kindly ask this guy you're also advising to get GCMS Note, if his passport was stamped to confirm what I'm saying. I'm sure he'll also read this post. On the 13th December, 2015 to be precise, a neighbour of mine who applied for US visa came back and said his passport was stamped. Before I replied to your comment, I had to call him on phone to be sure. If the system has changed with US now, I wouldn't know because I've not reappeared for USA visa for a year now cos my visa is still valid. Cheers

you do not get your passport stamped ,if you are rejected American visa, what you get is a letter.Uk on the other hand, stamps your passport. My first canadian visa was issued on the same passport that had the uk visa rejection stamp.I eventually reapplied for UK visa, and I was given 6months,after visiting UK,I applied for canadian visa ,and I was given 17months visa.
Your rejected UK visa could be last year...or was it this year?. They don't stamp passports anymore. In my company we travel almost every quarter due to the nature of our business. In May, we were invited for an annual product training in Calgary y our partner( both sales and technical). We applied for 2 of our staff( a sales guy and a technician). The sales guy was granted while the one in charge of technical department was denied. They just cited travel history and returned all his documents to him. His passport wasn't stamped. He was asked to reapply in his refusal letter if he could address the reason he was rejected. The training holds once in a year because it's for all distributors, globally and we're the one in charge of Nigerian territory. In early July, we had an issue with one of their equipment we recently ordered. After escalating it to them, they agreed to send another invitation but we advised that another technician , who had been to schenghen area to apply. I gave him same documents and he applied on the 20th of July via paper route. On the 15th of September, his visa was granted as seen on his passport. I accompanied him to pick his passport this week.

The US Embassy in Nigeria does not stamp passports when they refuse visa applications. That is the crux of the matter. Jayfierce, Bigfido and others saying you are wrong are very much conversant with this bruv. The UK still stamps passport if visa application is refused to the best of my knowledge even though I may give you the benefit of doubt on it, Canada doesn't and we know too. It's the mix up on the UK and US own that is in contest here

I'm surprised seeing this bro. I'm quite new here. I applied for NIV in November last year and my passport was stamped. In April this year, I also applied for a UK visa to attend my brother's wedding and my passport was not stamped. My brother said I should reapply and I was given 6 months multiple. I don't know of canada though. different strokes for different folks...

This isn't correct sir. I applied late last year for NIV and my passport was stamped. I had only visited south Africa before I tried US. You don't have to sound rude... I have already mentioned that I'm new in this forum so, you don't have to make noise about it. People join Nairaland every hour. I've been following this thread for long as a guest. Maybe you're the agent here because it appears you know all. Kpele!

Ah ah. Watappun in this place? I was only gone a few hours nau. shocked

So root of the matter is, if sugarbuddy can apply to the US abi? He has already applied severally through different agents in the 90's and somehow I suspect misrepresentation would have crept in. He still tried again a 3 years back and was still refused.

Sugarbuddy, even if you are not banned, whatever that you did wrong may still held against you and the only way to be sure that US hand nor dey for this your Canada Visa application, is to get the GCMS notes. It will also throw more light on the other reasons for refusal that is not so clear.

Without a friend to assist you over there you might need pay someone to help you get the information. I saw www.gcmsnow.com and www.caips.ca as some sites worth checking out. Also a couple of lawyers online.

Do have a safe flight and lovely vacation in the UK!

Waw!Many have been handed permanent ban unknowingly . The CGMS note will explain everything. Personally, I don't encourage people applying for a visa to use an agent. This day and age, every info is available online, for free if the applicant isn't lazy. I feel really sad to hear this. DIY is the best option.

You're entitled to your opinion. As you know, I don't care about your criticisms. This isn't your first time and all I've been doing all along is ignore you but at this time, I think it's important I react. If I was an agent, I wouldn't be offering assistance for free, with detailed explanations. This is what I enjoy doing, at my leisure...to assist here. I don't need anybody's favour ok? I'm comfortable the way I am and I bless God for that. If you lack knowledge, why not ask instead of attacking? It's your business whatever your opinion is. You're only attacking blindly. For the info I got...UK doesn't stamp passports anymore, same with canada. Go and ask anybody who had been rejected CIC and UK visa in recent times if in doubt. In December 2015, I know of a neighbour who applied to US and came back with his passport stamped. That was what I based my opinion on. If you're not comfortable with my contribution here, you can always keep quiet. I won't bother respond to your subsequent rants.

My case wasn't based on anybody's or hearsay. I was a victim of US and UK refusal and I got my passport stamped in nov last year at US consulate. UK also denied me but returned my passport unstamped. This happened in April this year. If you need further proofs PM me and I'll scan the stamped page to you. Pls I'll erase my names for security reasons. There's no big deal about it. Gd nite
