IF WE GO BY WHAT FEMI FANI KAYODE HAS WRITTEN AND TRASHED ABOUT HIS CURRENT BOSS ALONE BEFORE HE WAS GIVEN PART OF THE CAKE WE SHOULDN'T BE TALKING ABOUT PDP FIELDING GEJ TO CONTEST AGAIN. PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN SAID HIS GENERATION HAS FAILED DURING HIS CAMPAIGN SPEECH IN LAGOS TO THE YOUTHS. WHY IS HE CONTESTING?

ALL AROUND THE WORLD A LIFE IS TOP PRIORITY. IT IS EVIDENT THAT THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT LED BY GOODLUCK JONATHAN HAS TAKEN A LOT FOR-GRANTED. IMAGINE IF A RELATIVE WAS INVOLVED IN THESE INSURGENCE AND THE GOVERNMENT THAT SHOULD PROTECT ITS CITIZENS SAY NOTHING TILL AFTER 40 DAYS AND WERE NOT EVEN CERTAIN TILL AFTER 40 DAYS TO MAKE A STATEMENT LET ALONE VISIT THE VICTIMS? IF ANY OF US HAVE A CONSCIENCE WE WON'T GIVE EXCUSES ON THIS PARTICULAR FACT. WE KNOW NOTHING WAS DONE AND A DEFENSE BUDGET OF 984 BILLION IN NAIRA WAS APPROVED 2014.

THE FUNDS STILL REMAIN MISSING AND MAY I REMIND US ALL THAT ITS OUR MONEY. AND $20 BILLION DOLLARS IS NO SMALL MONEY TO ANY GOVERNMENT. THE UNITED KINGDOM SAID IF THE FUNDS BEEN EMBEZZLED OR MISAPPROPRIATED BY THIS PRESENT NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT WERE STOLEN IN GREAT BRITAIN THAT GREAT BRITAIN WILL CEASE TO EXIST. DID ONE OF THE BEST CBN GOVERNORS JUST MAKE A MISTAKE ABOUT FIGURES ?

OBASANJO SAID -“But today, that reserve has been depleted! Today, that reserve has been depleted. ATIKU LOST THE PRIMARIES TO HIM AND SO DID KWAKWANSO A STRONG NORTHERN POLITICAN. AND EVEN AFTER THE VISIT TO MAIDUGURI NORTHERN ELDERS FEEL HE CAME TO CAMPAIGN AND ITS AN INSULT TO THEIR DEAD RELATIVES. THEY ASKED WHY HE NEVER CAME DURING THE CHIBOK INSURGENCE OR AFTER? ASKED WHY HE CAME NOW AND WHAT HE INTENDS TO ACHIEVE WITH THE VISIT SINCE THE ELECTION IS LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY.

When Mr. Sheriff visits Abeche for these activities, he lodges in Chadian Presidential Guest House in Abeche, and is provided security by the Chadian government, the intelligence communications claim.
Mr. Sheriff is a close friend of the Chadian president, Idris Deby.

In 2011, during the Chadian presidential elections, Mr. Sheriff supported the Chadian president with 35 vehicles, for security, and is believed to have bankrolled Mr. Deby’s re-election.

Nigerian defence and intelligence community members typically describe Mr. Sheriff as a gun runner in their many communications, and they often speak in conviction that his weapons find their way into Nigeria through Niger Republic into Yobe state. Yobe is Boko Haram’s stronghold and has suffered heavy casualties in magnitudes
only second to Borno.

Money, Politics and Power
Back in August 2011, intelligence officials were characterising Mr. Sheriff’s motivations for sponsoring Boko Haram as similar to a certain “3rd generation South South governor,” with the aim of covering up financial irregularities he might have committed as governor of Borno state, as well as propagate a stay-put in office
strategy by suppressing the opposition.
The officials suggest that Mr. Sheriff did not create the sect but was actively using the “monster” and could be sponsoring the sect as a way of protecting himself from the sect members who were “calling for his head” at the time.

“One way of reclaiming the lost loyalty of the sect therefore, was sponsorship of their cause,” intelligence officials were telling their principals
-Rampaging Boko Haram gunmen have again raided Askira, a border town between Borno and Adamawa States. Askira, a predominantly farming community is located some 252 kilometres south of Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
This is not the first time the town would be attacked by the terrorists as the gunmen last year attacked the town, destroying houses and many property.
Fleeing residents of the town said on Tuesday that the insurgents stormed the town in a convoy of Toyota Hilux vehicles and motorcycles at about 3:35 pm on Monday.
They were said to have been armed with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and petrol-bombs which they deployed in torching several public buildings, including a secondary school, Divisional Police Station and telecom masts.
One of the fleeing residents, Adamu Musa, said: “As we were about to depart the motor park yesterday afternoon, we saw some insurgents chanting God is great in Arabic.
“They moved to burn down a school in the town to ashes. They did not stop there; they proceeded to the police station and a health centre and threw IEDs at the buildings.”
