One of Nigeria’s problem is lack of understanding of the constitution. If people have understood the constitution, some of the irrelevant issues that politicains throw to them in order to cajole or incite them against another candidate will not be bought.

Recently the All Progressive Congress Presidential candidate, General, Muhamadu Buhari, signed an Affidavit to INEC informing them his certificates are with the Military.

As expected, from some group of campaigners who will never adhere to the stipulated issues based campaign and some social media habitues whose joblessness should be a source of worry to them but will rather, prefer to join in typing Buharishowusyourcertificate#.

My questions to this set people are? Why should Buhari show you his certificates? As what? His employer, INEC chairman or school authority who wants to give him admission? The constititution never stipulated that anyone vying for political position should go about showing his certificate to the public. It only stipulated that such a person must have been educated to atleast, a school certificate level.

Sadly enough, some group of lawyers have not helped matters with their skewed analysis. INEC have asked them to go to court why not do so and save us this pseudo ignorance as lawyers. The logic is very clear. If school certificate is the least certificate needed, and a man has a US war college certificate as confirmed by the institution itself, is that not bigger than school certificate? How can someone enrol into the Nigerian millitary without a WASCE certificate?

In all these, i pity the gullible Nigerian masses who will engross themselves in this irrelevant issue and fail to ask the candidates what they have for them in the next four years if elected but join the banwagon of those who believe election is a process to usher in anyone who will encourage them to steal, embezzle or enrich their pockets.

Nigerians should wake up. let your attention not be diverted. What we need is good governance and economic development not certificate. Come to think of it if Buhari shows you his certificate, how will that put food on your table, give you employment, infracstructures or improve your quality of life. Think Nigerians.

(3) what is worrying is that GMB did not attach any copy of any Certificate to his Nomination Form as required by the AMENDED 2011 Electoral Act: not even his Pry 6 FSLC. So there is no evidence that he even has the Pry 6. If you go for a job interview today with only your B.Sc Certificate but without your FSLC or WASC, or giving ACCEPTABLE reason for not coming with those, you will be chased away: no one will ASSUME that since you have B.Sc, then you must have also obtained FSLC/WASC; you must bring proof that you have those as well; equally, if you seek admission for a Master's Program & produce only your Bachelor's results/Certificate but no FSLC/WASC, you will not be admitted. For the people making noise about EQUIVALENT Certificates, War College M.Sc, etc, you should note that GMB himself in his nomination Form never relied on Equivalent Certificate or M.Sc; he SPECIFICALLY relied on WASC/WAEC but did not produce any copy of it; instead he LIED that it is with the Military. That disqualifies him. I don't often comment hereon & would have been content to allow APC supporters continue to play the Ostrich and bury their heads in the sand, but my worry, which is what I want all of us to think about is what will happen to our nation if GMB wins but is then disqualified as will be bound to happen. Will we blame GEJ/PDP for what may transpire? Why? GMB still has the opportunity to save our country from unnecessary bloodshed/upheaval. As an elder Statesman, he should think long & hard on this issue. He should consider toeing the path of honor & resigning his Candidature as the Electoral laws allow so the APC can replace with a credible candidate with less baggage. That's my ten pence worth. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED that this is all GMB came up with. This controversy has raged for over a month now & a press conference was arranged to put it to bed once & for all. Yet all we are told is that GMB "assumed" that ALL his certificates are with the Military. But the REAL QUESTION is why does GMB not have the originals or any copy of his certificates? As far as we know, every other Military Officer, whether serving or retired including those who joined the Army at the same time as GMB submitted only copies & still have their originals. Only GMB has ALL his documents in the custody of the Military. In his affidavit submitted to INEC, he never bothered to state the circumstances that led to this anomaly; now again in his press conference after a month of agitation, he again does not think that Nigerians deserve to know; instead different people throw out all sorts of speculations as to why he does not have it. Buhari should show respect to Nigerians he wants to be his subjects by coming clean on this issue once & for all; buying time and hoping it will go away will not work. First he assumed that his Certificates were with the Army until they came out to say his assumption was wrong as they do not have it; at today's press conference, he is again assuming the documents are with his old school; we will have to wait for their response to this latest ASSUMPTION.

I have said this severally that GMB is seriously embarrassing himself & our nation the more he continues to lie in order to cover up previous lies. At his press conference, he stated that he graduated from secondary school with classmates such as General Shehu Musa Yar'Adua, former Chief of Staff. But this is a very CLEAR & BLATANT lie. Yar'Adua joined the Army in 1959 a full 2 years before Buhari claimed to have graduated. Just google YAR'ADUA or go to Wikipedia. What sort of calamity is this? We are now laughing stock in the eyes of the World. Please, the leadership of APC should put a stop to this charade. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
